I think the process is much more complicated for F25, unfortunately.

That's correct! Live was not on my car before I coded it.
No navigation fitted, just standard UK equipment including standard Bluetooth equipment.

Once done the tethering function starts automatically when you open Live (as long as Bluetooth is connected first)

Can this be done on a US Model? I have the apps and advanced bluetooth with nav.

In short, Yes, but it isn't just simple coding. Read my earlier Post #568:

Btw, is office function already on ur system before coding? Did u see the option to use coding to enable BMW office? What is the entry to enable BMW Live?

It should be:
CONNECTED_DRIVE = aktiv / Werte=01
ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE = aktiv / Werte=01

I tried just the ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE activation first and that worked.
There was no need to activate the Connected Drive.

I've been further testing today and Live is fully functional - working best when I have 3G reception.

I couldnt see any ref to activating Office - I'll look again. I dont have office already.

Another user with a shout-out to svache and shawnsheridan! Good advice, guides and assistance along the way.

Couple of questions....
Headlight washers active or not active....on mine default was active 00, but guide shows active 01. Typo in the guide? Or do I need to go wert 01 to deactivate?

Comfort access folding mirrors....guide says to also add ASP_BEIKLAPPEN. Where and what changes?

Lastly, is there a way to browse the files offline so I can see where things are?

Thanks.

I code mostly F10's not F30's, so I will defer to the F30 Coders on the headlights and mirrors.

As for browsing files off-line, yes. In E-Sys, the CAF-Viewer is for viewing CAFD Files, and the FDL-Editor is for viewing NCD Files. The NCD Files are your net-coded data file (NCD), which are generated automatically every time you read an ECU, so what you see in the NCD is your current coding for that ECU.

Look in these locations for the files:

NCD = C:\ESysData\CAF
CAFD = C:\ESysData\psdzdata\swe\cafd

I suggest when you read your ECU, you make note of the CAFD file name so later you know which NCD File corresponds with which ECU.

For example:
HU_CIC = CAFD_000000F9_006_008_207.ncd

I have 6NH which comes as standard in UK. 6NK is an option but I reckon with purchase of the snap in adapter it could be coded. I have seen the settings to change in the HU-CIC files (not 100% sure but worth checking out)

EDIT: I think the reason I cant have Office is down to my iPhone 4's compatibilty with the F30.

Also, in the vid that car doesn't have nav (6.5" screen w/plastic border & simplified idrive controller), as evidenced by it's main idrive menu.

I did read the text and watch the video...I am the person who posted them along with the thought of enabling BMW Live through coding.

the text you refer to states "Therefore EVEN IF your vehicle is not equipped with a BMW Navigation system you can still have access to all the information you need along your journey"

"EVEN IF" means whether or not. regardless of.

I see you have a US car and were able to code internet. Can you explain how? Did you have to change VIN?

Then there must be a MULF Module, which would require the VIN change.

Well, almost working...at least he has the menu for it. Probably just a phone setting he needs to get it fully working.
