Researching this myself: 19" vs 20" aftermarket. My OEM 18" are 26" diameter and the 20" options were 26.3" front and rear 26.2". Not sure how much room there is to play, but I was using those numbers as the max height in my research.

First and foremost I feel the car needs WIDER treads all around. So far the issue I'm seeing with the 20" is if you go wider than 255's in the rear then your looking at a 25 series tire it seems. I had the 295/25-20 Nitto Invo recommended which is 25.79" diameter.
Whereas with 19" there are plenty of 26" diameter tires wider than 255's. There's even 295/30-19 options that are 26" (Michelin & Bridgestone). Keep in mind I'm looking at mainly 'Max Performance' summer treads.

You will get rubbing with 275 if you go up in size though. I have 275/35 in the rear and have rubbing with a full load over bumps.

275/35's are pretty tall - how tall is the diameter compared to stock?

imo; You just have to get the right offset. I've got 275/30-20's in the rear with ZERO issues, and they're sitting on 20x10's. 100% custom made Forgeline rims.

245/30-20's in the front on 20x9's.

No idea. I called up Forgeline and they did the rest. They'd already made 20x9's all around for an F30 and knew there was a little more room they could tweak out I guess.

Btw, here's a pic:

I'll be getting some new wheels soon: 20x8.5, ET 35 front and 20x10, ET 40 rear. I am on sportline and want to know if I can run 225 or 245/35/20 front and 255/35/20 rear. Will that setup work for me?

Thanks....
F: 20x9 on 245/30
R: 20x10 on 275/30

Forgline DE3C's wearing Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's.

I think I could have squeezed in the 285's in the rear actually. Once you start looking for staggered tires, you don't have a ton of choices. I think I had like 4.

I have the ANSWER!

I wanted to know this a while back and couldnt find the right answer so here is what I think is the closest.

I currently have a F32 435
I have 20 x 11 wheels with a 35 offset in the rear: tires 285/30
20 x 9.5 in the front :tires are 245/30
all nitto invo

I had an e92 before with rolled fenders and I rubbed fairly consistently on the sidewall but with no damage to vehicle and very little noticeable wear to the sidewall of the tire.

I just switched over to the f32 and I went over all of the big dips i feared before on my e92 and no problems at all.

I hope this info helped......btw does anyone know the TRUE tope speed of the f32 435.....everything I can find only tells me the 155.....I want to know the real number, I cannot find it ANYWHERE.

20x11 et 35 for the f32 is too aggressive

20x11 et 47 is a better fitment

My set up is M5 Replica rims F19"x8.5" offset 35 tires 245/35/19 // R19"x9.5" offset 38 tires 275/30/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports with the M-Performance Brakes front and rear (Yellow calipers). For me, I like an open rim so I can see my rotors, calipers, and the barrel of my rims. To me brakes and wheels go hand-in-hand. And I must concave wheels, too.

Total cost (I kinda forgot the exact price) Rims $800 + Tires $1300 + Brakes/"Drilled"-Slotted Rotors $2300 = Subtotal $4400 - $1500 selling my 18" 400M with Continental Runflats = Total $2900.

But honest, some guys here drop $5000+ on a set of DDG HRE's and another $1000 on Hankooks. You gotta think about your budget. Surf the photo forum and see whose set-up you like and PM them with questions. Most people are totally helpful and will answer your questions. Without the help I received here, I know I'd not be as happy with my set-up.

The above is my thought process. I had them installed last Saturday. Here are some pictures.
old ass thread but I actually came on here to see about fit for these exact wheels.. they look great but now I'm jealous of your brakes lol. guy is selling these near me for $1000 replica 343, 19x9 and 19x9.5. He has 245/45 R19 in the front 275/40 R19 in the back (rears need replacement though). Looks like I would gain ride height 20mm and throw off speedometer -4mph. I would probably sell whats on there and get fresh tires

Is it ok to fit the following tires to my F30 328 from

Original spec

225/40 R 19" - Front
255/35 R 19" - Rear

To

235/35ZR 19" - Front
265/30ZR 19" - Rear

Both are on PSS tires. 😋

Thanks,

Cheers
Was there any rubbing with the 235/40/19 in the front when turning?
