Coming from a 2015 335..

First here is my build:
340i Xdrive
Glacier Silver, Black Dakota, w/ oyster highlight. Alum trim w/ blue
Premium Package
Executive Package
Track Handling
M Sport
Heated Steering Wheel, rear seats
PDC
Blind Spot
Wireless Charging
Port Accessories:
Black Grilles, CF Rear spoiler, M Power and Sound, Side sill decals and rocker panels, Front splitter


A few questions for 340 owners:

Is the back up camera just standard on 2018's now? I have top and side view cameras, but a back up is not listed.

Same with heated front seats. Not listed on my build.

How do the owners of 3 and 4 series folks that have digital gauges think?

I have driven two 2017's, and I am not sure I like the new idrive with tiles. Thoughts? Is it really better?

As far as the new idrive goes, I like it better than the old one. Looks much more modern and is a little easier to use once you learn where everything is

I love the new iDrive. Instead of using split screen, I keep it on the home screen. All of the tiles still update or have animations, so it shows a lot of information at once. It's like using widgets on your phone vs having to open up individual apps to get information one at a time. You can also change the order of the tiles so the most important 3 will be on your main page.

Also I like the digital cluster, but I can admit it's not a game changer. Especially if you have HUD, it doesn't add a lot of functionality. I like the aesthetic, especially how the cluster goes completely black when it is off. I never liked how the digital portion of the extended cluster was offset to one side. Also it's always backlit, which i have never had or appreciated until i drove this car. It also has a matte finish so no glare.

Thank you. I would love to have bought my 335, but it was easier to re-lease a 340 with the same stuff (and color). There are giving huge pull ahead discounts. My lease isn't up until May.

I like the new idrive way more.

As far as pull ahead... are you basically returning your car early, so you are getting a new car, early with just a bit higher payment since the new car is more expensive. So no double payments? If so, nice job!

I haven't figured out how to rearrange the tiles. Any advice?

There's a pull ahead? I was at the dealership three weeks ago and they said there are no pull ahead plans through the end of year

I had two dealers call me on the pull ahead. The one where I bought it and the other where i get it serviced. Maybe it's certain models?

on the main screen with 3 tiles visible, hit menu. it should zoom out so all 6 are visible. you scroll to the tile you want to move, and then bump left or right to move it. then when you're done, hit menu again.

In two years you can get the G20. Not a big difference between the 17s and 18s. I'm actually very content with my 2015; It just makes more sense to get a 18.
