Very unlikely, as mine is several weeks old and has the same issue.

What does it look like under the bonnet ( sorry 'hood' if that makes more sense!). Have a look at the photos of the fix in this thread, does your A/C hose look any different? May be worth getting the split weight and clamp and fitting it anyway, could easily be DIY installed and see if that makes any difference?
I know someone has said that BMW have modified it from 10/13 production but I wonder what in fact they have actually done? Re-designed hose or just added the weight at production not sure how we could find this out, anybody got any ideas?
I know BMW build the petrol sixes at Steyr in Austria and wonder how much 'stock' they have per-assembled for distribution to the respective global production facilities......just a thought?

Unless www.realoem.com is wrong, the low pressure hose p/n changed for 10/2013 production. At least for NA builds. One would assume this was to address the SIB. Then again, we all know what happens when you assume...

Someone with a 10/2013+ build, take a pic of the hose and post here. Thx.

I have an 11/2013 335i with the old style hose. No weight is integrated in mine. I'd upload a pic, but I'm too lazy to resize the photo to comply with size limits on iphone photos.

I've zip tied several bolts to my hose to quiet the buzzing. I'll get the official fix when I take it in for the first service.

I've just made and fitted a smaller cast iron version, tested it and it is fine, going to make an aluminium one tomorrow. All it's doing is preventing a harmonic wave on the hose. Imagine a ribbon tied to a stick and when you wiggle it you create a wave pattern along the length of it, hang a small weight somewhere along it and you won't be able to do it.

I wonder if this will invalidate the warranty??

Just got back from the dealer and had this SIB applied to my 2014 335i and the buzz is gone! Big thanks to the OP for this information.

I've been driving for about 2 weeks with the weight added to the hose. No reoccurrence of buzz! Thanks again to OP!

Hi "Phil66",
Just seen your question to me re the 'fix' for the A/C hose on this thread...sorry for the delay in replying!
If you trawl through this thread the BMW part numbers are on one of my previous posts in response to a member's question from somewhere in the Middle East. My dealer had no problem ordering the balance weight and clamp from BMW in Germany and only took a couple of days to come in to stock (they probably VOR'd it from Germany), if you need to contact them it is Stratstone Tyneside and their phone number is 0191 2951295.

BMW has released a Technical Service Bulletin – SIB 64 01 14 for Heating and Air-conditioning for the 335i / 435i with N55 engine.

Bulletin states that there is an intermittent whirring noise from the IHKA system when the engine is under load between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm, and sometimes higher RPMs.

Cause has been identified by BMWNA as vibrations coming from the A/C low-pressure hose, which are resonating into the heating and air conditioning system. (In my 335, this resonance could be heard in the cabin, and felt in the steering column.) The resonance will rattle/buzz whatever is loose in the dash.

BMW has developed a new mass weight kit to dampen vibrations in the A/C low pressure hose, being transmitted from the engine.

After experiencing this problem from the second week of owning my new F30, I had this kit installed today. Problem first manifested itself at about 200 miles, today I have over 4500 miles. When I applied moderate load to the engine in gears 1 to 4, there would be an unmistakable engine vibration right around 2500 RPM. My experience matches many of the videos posted by other Bimmerpost members.

My dealer was earnest in attempting to isolate the problem. First repair attempt, they initially found an engine cover loose. Second repair attempt they insulated the plastic engine cowling, nav screen, AC hoses, etc. Felt tape / wrapping was applied in multiple locations. 3rd attempt, after driving the car without the dash, and still hearing the noise, they isolated the problem to the AC hose. I can’t say enough about the terrific service efforts at the dealership. They worked tirelessly, including researching the problem from the various Bimmerpost threads I sent them. After communicating with their regional BMW reps, they were told a service bulletin was coming.

Bulletin was released this week, part ordered Monday, delivered Thursday, and installed today. Am very hopeful this will do the trick and I’ll finally be rattle/vibration/whirring noise free. Highlighted circle in the picture below shows the new kit installed on the A/C hose.

Drove the car about 15 miles today. The vibration/buzzing/whirring sound are definitely better – but need more drive time to fully determine if this new mass weight kit has cured all ills.
Apparently BMW is aware of this problem, and some cars, including mine, already come fitted with one weight on the hose (marked with a yellow arrow). Sadly, in my case it didn't do the trick, and I am waiting for the second part to arrive from Germany.
However, moving the existing weight along the hose helps reducing the noise, and according to BMW the best place to try is to move it 270mm forward.
Hope this helps someone while waiting for the part to arrive...

Mine is early 2014. Has the weight marked in yellow, lacks the one marked in red.

I think they all came with the one marked in yellow. Mine was sept/13 production and it already had the one marked in yellow. When the one marked in red was added, the buzzing was cured!

Worked

10.13 production with one weight installed at the end of the hose (as in Tomerk's picture). Tried to move 270mm up, but the weight is too big to fit the curving hose. So settled to move up wherever it fits.

Works great, no more buzzing !

Thanks for the info.

Great
Can you upload a pic, or mark on the ones that are already available?
Thanks

Yes the yellow was already present in my car produced in 8/2013, I added the red and it cured it.

I've had mine done and the sound is still there on occasion, help me understand the placing of the weight, 270 mm forward from where? I want to play with the placing and see if I can get it to go away. Thanks in advance for your help!

According to my service centers flow-chart, the one marked in yellow should be added to 435s with the problem... go figure...
Still waiting for the second one to arrive.
