Ambient lighting

Hi guys. Can you help me with the ambient lighting in my F31 M Sport, UK spec. I've adjusted the settings in the I drive to max and also turned up the dial for the instrument cluster to max. The ambient lighting is still very faint. I appreciate it is ambient lighting but have seen several pictures where it looks considerably brighter than mine. Is this just a dealership adjustment or does anyone know of a way to probe deeper into the I drive to increase the brightness of the LED's. many thanks

I find that I can get all ambient lighting to become distractingly bright except on the doors, which are so dull they're almost impossible to see! And when you do find that good ambient lighting setting for the dials (in night time), they are completely impossible to see.
If you've done what you've done, there's nothing more you can do. Maybe have a word with your dealer or ask svache if he knows of any coding to have the ambient lighter brighter.

I think it looks brighter in the photos because of the camera settings and that the pictures are usually taken at night, so it shows up better.

Mine never looks that bright in person, but in the photos I took, it looks very bright.

I'm happy with the brightness as is.

What color is your interior? In particular, what color is the door parts that seem too dark?

Don't go on the pictures, the camera settings can massively impact that..

The interior color really matters about how bright the lighting will look, Light = much brighter, Black = Not so bright (door lighting not vissible at all)

Thirdly I coded the interior brightness to 99% yesterday, default at 64%, very very minor difference, if any.

The default is not 64% ! When you code values like that, you specify them in hex. The default of 64 (in hex) is 100% (in decimal).

If you coded 99 (hex), then you tried to set the percentage to 153% !

I'm surprised it even let you do that. I don't know what the ECU will do with a value past 100%.

You have to be really careful about how you change these things. You could mess up the ECU that way.

I agree that it is too dim, and I was going to code it but if it might ruin my ECU I don't wanna take that chance.

Yeah I changed it back to 64.. Saw your post on the new coding cheat sheet and realized it was hexadecimal.. It didn't give an error, just said unknown value or something
