Selector query
Hi, all, still getting to grips with car, could someone explain what differences are made if the selector is pushed into m/s, or select Sport or Sport +. Clearly the engine revs more vigorously and changes more sharper but does it alter anything else? I’ve but it’s not any clearer.

From what I have managed to gather.
Sport mode changes weight of the steering, throttle map, raises gear shift points and if you have adaptive suspension the stiffness of the damping. Sport + is the same as above but enables DSC (a less intrusive traction/stability control) Moving gear lever left moves shift points even higher if keeping it in S (auto) and enables you to permanently stay in manual mode (M) should you wish. Depending on age of car, or if you code it, you are able to customise the sport settings to suit your taste. Personally I think the sport throttle map is pants so have stopped my sport mode enabling it. |
