New car doesn't have Servotronic steering..?
Hey guys,
Just got my F32 and I noticed that the steering feels even lighter then my F30, mainly at high speeds, it just seems too loose. I realized my F30 had S216A Servotronic and the new one does not so I am sure this is the issue. I've tried adding S216A to my VO and coding the EPS module but that hasn't helped (atleast I don't think so) Using the SVT-CAFD tool shows that adding 216 doesn't change anything coding wise so I'm wondering how I can get servotronic to work as I am pretty sure it does not require any new hardware. The only different parts are for Variable Sport Steering. Any advice shawnsheridan?

It gets stiffer but the Servotronic makes it stiffer at high speeds. I feel like when I accelerate the steering is so loose that it wants to get away from me.

Its standard on the F30 too it looks like but it was in the VO on my old car. Not there on this one. The steering just feels a lot more loose on this car.

Did you finally solve the problem? I have bought a F32 435d Xdrive with servotronic and I have the same feeling than you, the steering is much lighter than my previous F30 325d. I also don’t notice almost any change in stiffness between ECO and Sport/Sport+ modes… My dealer confirmed that de SW is OK and I have activated the servotronic option. Maybe it’s because of the traction? My F32 is Xdrive while my ex F30 was RWD… I’m a bit worried |
