Especially the LED indicators make such a huge difference. Are reverse lights pure white LED or still a bit yellowish as find in pre LCI?

Reverse lights are annoyingly still halogen! I replaced mine with LED bulbs.

Bloody hell! I don't understand why BMW still puts these crappy halogen bulbs even in face-lifted cars made in 2017. Unacceptable.

I've also replaced with pure white LEDs which are much brighter and they illuminate the surrounding better when reversing in the dark.

does this require any coding or do these not suffer from flicker etc?

There's an LED module for rear and front that'll need activating, and possibly the cold/warm checks turning off.
