I meant maybe if I have rear fog lamp, coding is different. Without coding, I have blinking in 3 place. Now only stop lamp blinking.
Just performed another install earlier this week with the coding steps as outlined above. No issues on this end.

Theoretically, another option would be advancing the build date and recoding REM module.

Coding is universal for all F3X REM modules.

Dealers cannot perform this coding, you will need to locate a coder in your area.

I am still not sure where was problem. Maybe becose I have LED front fog lamps. Dealer said he can add front LED fog lamps option or rear led lamp. But when he tried to add two options, front led fog lamps not worked.
I was retrofit surround view in dealer. When dealer updated software, he just add rear led option. It was free for me.
But you should try to code them.

Dealer not use e-sys. But he can add new option during software update.

Your method shows no modification of the box near the battery as the other DIY method shows? Any reason why?

Hi, I hope you can help me?

I stupidly decided to be over curious today and starting looking at how the rear lights could be changed and a stupidly started to remove one of the rear tailgate lights, it lifted slightly and as it wasn't moving tried to put it back.... I got the part nearest the centre of the tailgate to sit flush but the edge nearest the side of the boot lid is slightly proudness as if it's not sitting flush, it is only slight but I know it's there.

How easy is it to remove and refit the lights? Is anything likely to snap etc...

Very simple, follow the steps outlined in this DIY in reverse to reinstall.

Thanks for that, however the guide doesn't show how the light unit comes out, mine was a little resistant so is it a case of lifting it up from the edge closet to the centre in an ark motion?
The resistant I felt is that some form of sticky rather strip to stop water coming in? If so do I need to replace this if I take the light unit out to realign it?

ThNks and sorry for all the questions

You're likely referring to the foam gasket. Take care when removing the lamp so the gasket isn't damaged, it can be reused.

Hi do you sell the harness and do you have a link?

Also do you need to wire in to the REM module?
as some people have done.

Sorry, didn't get the notification on this. You will receive bulb out errors and occasional flickering of the new taillights (vehicle BulbCheck process) until coding is applied.

Great DIY.

I purchased the BMW OEM harness for the F30 LCI tail light retrofit. The harness allows for the left and right inner turn signals to plug directly into the REM.

Can some provide the REM FDL coding that is required for these lights to work via the REM?

Thanks
