2016 428i xdrive convertible
B45 Estoril blue metallic
LCD3 Saddle brown Dakota leather
ZCW cold weather package
ZDA drivers assistance package
ZDB drives assistance plus
ZMP M sport package
ZPP premium package
ZTP technology package
688 Harmon kardon sound system
6NS enhanced USB and Bluetooth

I've also ordered Carbon fiber splitters and Carbon fiber double slat grille that I'll be installing once the car arrives.

Thoughts would be appreciated.

Planning on a '16 435xi Convert, ED~
But.. not able to build/order it yet as the website doesn't offer 2016's yet-
How did you do it and what am I missing.

And, yes, I've also read that HK sound system is standard in 2016?!

Actually you can use the configurator on http://demo3.bmwusa.com site to see what options you have. Dealership can puts in orders for 2016 now. I ordered mine Thursday and it's set for a build completion date the week before Labor Day.

HK is standard on the 435 but is optional in the 428.

Here's a link to all the changes in the 2016 models.

Guys I know this might not be the right place to continue with my questions.. For some reason I can't launch new discussion. Please help me to figure questions to my answers.

I plan to order 2016 - 320i with below configurations.

- RWD
- Automatic
- Light Package
- Drivers Assistance Package (Only for rear view camera feature)

I am skipping everything else since I clearly separated my needs vs wants.

Questions I have are,

1. I live i DE .. Any one can tell me if I need to go for xDrive? How much practical usability of xDrive is other than barely 3-4 weeks of snow with shoveled roads? I am ready driving 4Runner RWD for 7 years and had no trouble managing life at all.

2. About transmission choice, shall I go for Auto/Manual? I read the other post but still struggling to decide on this one.

3. Does Adaptive M suspension delivers significant experience difference? In other words, are stock suspension are enough capable to handle the car?

Nice selection. I wish we could've gotten as many individual options up here in Canada as you guys. Everything is packaged up here so it's all or nothing...

AWD is not really necessary in everyday driving conditions unless you deal with a lot of winter or poor weather conditions. In a 320i you probably won't see that much of an improvement in acceleration with AWD either. RWD is lighter and slightly more tossable so if that's important to you...

The purist in me says manual all the way. Ultimately it's up to you and what you think about things like everyday drivability, driver engagement, resale value, etc.

As for the adaptive suspension, the forums will have both staunch advocates for them as well as those who think the stocks are fine. Best choice is to go for a test drive in a car equipped with one vs. one without and feel the difference for yourself.

As the owner of a 4 Series convertible, I think you will be very happy with the car. As others have noted, the Saddle Brown interior is a great choice to go with the EB exterior - and lucky for you it has just become available for 2016. There is a photo of that combo over on the Bimmerfest European Delivery Forum that looks stunning.

As to the options I assume you still get the M Sport steering wheel with the M Sport Package - I know I love it.

Here is a link describing the options I went with on mine, albeit a 2015:

Thanks Northcar. I'm very excited about the color combo. Yes the M Sport steering wheel still comes with that package.

My car is supposed to finish building this Thursday so hopefully in 3 weeks I'll be picking it up.

And thanks for the picture. That really does show how stunning the car will look.
