"Starting Navigation System..."

After a long wait, I got my car back from European Delivery today.

There's a minor hiccup, though. The navigation system just says "Starting Navigation..." or some such and is stuck there. Is it possible that it takes a while for the car to relocate itself from Europe to North America? Is that the behavior the system exhibits when there are no maps loaded? Could it be that the Euro maps are still in there and it's trying to locate my car on those maps (which it never will since I am 4000+ miles from any possible place those maps might cover)?

I think they rushed the prep so I could pick it up this afternoon and might have skipped a couple steps and didn't actually load the map data. Is that something that is supposed to be done at the VDC or at the dealer?

Thanks,
-MrB
