Ordered my car on 3/7. SA build. It just got dropped off in Germany. It has to get on another boat to get to PDC. Before it gets to PDC, m-sport exhaust and black kidneys will be added at port. BMW rep says 6/8 to land at port. I'm betting it will take another 2-4 weeks after that. Maybe looking at early July?

If so, a 4 month wait. OUCH.

Car is pure. 340 RWD + msport + mspe + 403 19s + heated seats + window shades + nav. EB2 on black. Can't wait to get it!

ordered mine 3/8, also SA build, and it got here last week to the US. PCD date set for 6/14. Not sure what your production slot was - mine actually got built pretty fast before the world tour by cargo ship. It is excruciating.

Never had a SA built car. Do they ship them all to Germany prior to USA?

Not all - seems to be a bit of luck of the draw. Although I don't know of any SA built 340is that are PCD that haven't had to do the world tour yet.

Don't understand how this is possible. I ordered on May 15th, completes production June 3rd, and my dealer keeps re-affirming it will be available for pickup by late June/early July. It's an SA build.

I hope he's right, just seems inconsistent with others experiences.

If it completed June 3rd, even if your lucky and get a 20 day voyage, your looking at early July. Your car won't even be on a boat for 1-2 weeks.

It could even turn into early august. These SA builds are a death sentence. I ordered Feb 9th and will be taking delivery in 2 weeks, so 4 months.
