I'm sure your BT update will work as it did on NBT_D. Now let's hope that it woks out for twincam23. I'm sure I-Level the update will fix his problem but I must admit I've never seen it say "Invalid update file" because of the NBT_B incompatibility, it normally will say it is not compatible. Regardless this should fix things.

I would like to use "BMW Apps", which I paid for, but BMW still does not support the Nexus 5 (even in 2015 models), only the Samsung S4. |

Finally got my car back after dropping it off Saturday morning. Technician kept telling SA that there were no updates for my car. I had to raise my voice to get the shop foreman involved.
Noticeable improvement when switching from battery to gas. much smoother. Pandora album cover updating now too. Thanks guys |

I wondered what issues you're having as I've got a Nexus 5 and it seems to work ok. I tend not to use it more because of the limited apps- I've no use for Twitter and Facebook and the audio app is junk. ( they need to get Spotify sorted). Spotify through Bluetooth seems to work ok although that can be a bit flaky too. |

I'm a technology expert but not too versed in that Android tbh, maybe that's only the case on older Android software but still worth a look.

The Android BMW Connected app uses MTP (atomic, sequential file transfers) to communicate between itself and the NBT. For my attempts, this was enabled.
I also tried different USB cables. (Does play phone's videos and music fine). BMW says android apps are supported as of July '13, but my car is March '13 so I'm thinking this feature was simply not coded. The long-press of voice button (I.e. for "Google Now") also does not work for me. |

Twincam - my dealership seems convinced they cannot update me to version I from G. How did you convince them otherwise?
Also, did the nbt update unlock tire pressure being displayed? Or is that still only by coding on earlier cars? |

The replies from this threat gave me the information I need to persist the dealer to update. I told them they sold me a brand new computer running Windows XP and I cant update it because it's no longer supported. |

If that's what your looking for, you should be able to enable that setting with your current firmware |

Also have B firmware - is there any way I can update this on my own, or does it have to go to the dealer? |

It is possible if you know how to do coding and feel comfortable flashing modules but I would not recommend it (and I'm an experienced coder), have the dealer do it.

I know this is going outside the scope of this thread now, but is there any way to back up the current state and then just revert to it once they flash the car? |

ISTA/P wouldn't complete the update, and required that the radio be replaced before proceeding.
Can this be because I coded extended BT support which the car didn't come with (I.e. The VIN doesn't include that option while the car now does, causing a conflict of some sort)? |

Not only did ISTA/P bomb out halfway through the update, and request the radio to be replaced, but now navigation doesn't work at all, just sits at the screen saying "Starting Navigation System" forever.
WTF. I am starting to grow not very fond of this car. |
