I do as well, looks sunny so far, been awake since 6am lol.

I am not sure what would have been worse.

Waiting for train and then tube / walk to dealers
Or
Waiting for the 1 hour out phone call from the delivery driver and then waiting for 2 hours lol.

Have to wash and clean my E91 tonight as it got a little dirty from holidays and last nights drive lol.

My salesman has taken the plunge and bought same car lol

Obviously a man of taste.

Edit: had THE phone call, delivery at 1100 hrs (traffic depending) hopefully the delivery wagon just glides through the A14 traffic lol.

Woooooooohoooooooooo!!!!

At least you don't have to wait all day - not long now!

I think mine should be boarding a cargo ship today - based on my build date and their schedules!!

Lol well it's a little sunny at moment.

Worst thing is, I have to be at work for 1330, as I have to interview some people.

So will only have an hour or so play - no driving.

Have placed a top up £100 order for some stuff lol, SNH and some dodo blue for on top and some f1000p for wheels and exhaust.

More of a get me by sort of thing than final thing.

I hope these interviewees prove better than last lot, it's a nightmare hiring the right people, one I turned away at the front door.

Car arrived at 1130 - photos soon lol.

Off to work now (after coffee).

Turned candidate away as wearing baseball cap and and use of the world 'innit'

I did slowly explain why I was not interviewing him, hopefully he learned something.

Also had another tell me girls made crap engineers - rather short interview.

I don't mind posh, specially posh totty lol.

I just want consistency from think on feet engineers.

Having worked for 28yrs with a lot of very good ones (and some not lol) I know they are out there.

Just not a good choice in the civilian sector.

looking forward to hearing your views, ditto on the interviewing-considering there is apparently so many looking we've found it hard to find skilled people too.

Apologies, these were slightly rushed earlier on.

Only managed to find 2 people to actually re interview and carry out some practical tests.

Anyhow, car arrived and was relatively dusty - email sent to BMW complaining along with phiotograph.

Made comment on acceptance form stating I expected car to be relatively dust free.

No visible marks on paint work, however will wash n wax at weekend - weather and time depending.

I found the internal boot opening switch lol.

Taking it for a drive tonight.

Then it literally tossed down - cloud burst as I got home.

Not forgetting why I have an F91 and not a 235i......

Not that impressed with beading on new car, not as good as the Sonax BSD (even after a few weeks).

Will sort that later

Well some food and then read manual - again lol.

Looking good And will be even better when you've been at it! Bloody typical it rained!!

Men aren't allowed to read manuals, we are supposed to instinctively know how things work

Had a call from my dealer this afternoon, due with them on the 16th, registration reserved and doc all signed and sent back so not long now. So looking forward to your first impressions etc

Very hard to find good engineers for me too. BBC website had an article on that today - along with a picture of someone using an angle grinder. Since most people (including BBC journalists) think that's what engineers do, I'm not surprised I can't find any British graduates. Hence both graduates I've hired in the last year are from overseas.

I would not mind so much but practical part is basically being able to interpret an engineering drawing, then tell me width of printed area of border on glass and it's thickness.

There is a drawing, a ruler, calipers and micrometer on the table.

Some just look at you blankly when you ask them to do something..
