M-performance brake caliper color

Hey guys. I am not the best when it comes to good color design so thought I would turn to the collective mind of the f30 forums for a consensus.

After I have bilstein coilovers installed, I plan to upgrade to the m-performance brakes. I am trying to decide on the best color for my car.

Now, of course the factory yellow, orange, or red are options but I am also considering having them powder coated before they are installed for something a little more special. So far, I am looking at verde mantis-type green or tiffany blue as options.

What do you all think would look best? Or if none of those, is there another color option you think would look good with my build?

Thanks!

BMW blue is a lot more expensive at least it used to be. You can get other colors in kit but blue have to go a la carte. If memory serves add 30% premium for blue.

Yeah and they run sales on certain colors - at least Brian at Sun told me last time I went down this road that they have blowout deals every now and again but only a couple of colors not all.

I went and voted red on mineral grey. Blue is common and comes on BMW factory M car by default. If you get a choice to be different why not get something else.

Gold would be my second choice.

I agree red would look good on MG - I voted yellow as red is more common for other manufacturers than yellow. The yellow will stand out more with the darker wheels and work well will MG too imo.

As others have said I think you can pick up yellow at a lower price.

I have the played out factory installed blue.... and I love them....

Don't get me wrong I love the blue and would take it any day.

Ultimately the brake system looks fantastic in any colour. It's just building rationale on colour choice. I reworded my original post as I didn't want it misinterpreted, it came out wrong brother

I have the Blue M sport and I like them a lot. If I was going M perf. I would probably go with the Yellow.

I voted “other” because if I would powdercoat my calipers, (currently have the factory blue ones) I would have them match my body color; which is also MG.

Honestly I was just busting! No offense taken at all (sorry - that's the Brit in me). All good.

Agree the brakes look good what ever colour.

Cheers mate!

I powder coated mine in Porsche Yellow...I think they turned out great! A non factory color will stand out best. Just depends if you want to blend in or stand out more.

OPs car would look great into the combi gun metal and green calippers, very keen contrast. But this depends as ever on own taste.

That is what I voted for...the green! I love my yellow but on OPs car, I agree...green would be stellar!

Lol don't worry guys I'm just kidding. I can't spend another dime on the damn brakes. They were expensive to begin with, and I do love the red.

Need to same some money for springs and maybe a set of F80 M3 seats.
