Next time I'm doing the blindfold pepsi challenge when it comes to test drives, it'll be much simpler.

Yeah well chuffed.

I cringe at the number of cars we tried out , including an X1 XLine (so much a small car!).

Personally, would have preferred her with 1 series or 2 series.

However, can't argue with nice big discount and the kit it comes with.

Grrr!!!

Just had an email (not a phone call) from dealer saying 'the car will be a MID October build!!!

Exceptionally fucked off at moment with them.

I had originally been told would be available for a September Registration.

I have a feeling someone has cocked an order up.

Or they have pushed my order in preference for an actual customer order..

Now have to decide if prepared to wait or order something else (likely same delivery date).

It also means my wife is looking at other cars now!

Should be an interesting chat with dealer tomorrow !

Oh dear, that could cost you

Was looking forward to review on that, as we are all over the place at the moment with changing our cars.

Hmmmm...now i would be pissed off! very in fact. What annoys me is that ive cocked up orders before, but if they have and they would be honest with you, you would at least respect them for telling you!

I would be looking elsewhere! (cough...ST...cough...)

Annoyingly I am in Athens until the end of the month (from this weekend), so hands are tied.

Because my purchase is basically with Peugeot (discount is with them not by dealer), you tend to get buggered around now and then. I will however drop Peugeot a line if required - not that it will do much tbh.

It messes me up as well - see Car for Mr Brigand thread in a bit.

Feeling royally buggered over this and don't believe the dealer has been entirely honest in its dealings.

Up until yesterday, a September handover was the only date mentioned, even have email saying paper work all in place for registration for new reg.

By chance it will likely be 6 months from me ordering to collection, this will so obviously impact on my trade in and they are likely to try for at least £500 off the price of the Mondeo.

My options are to bite the bullet and just wait.

Keep order try and sell Mondeo privately.

Cancel order (try and get deposit back) and then look for something else.

Personally I believe asking for deposit back is fair, as I have plenty evidence for a August / September delivery. At no point did they tell me November, would not have ordered tbh.

Looks like it could be a Renaultsport Clio or Megane, unless drive to yet another ford garage lol.

Can you not lease a fiesta or focus ST?

They are brilliant cars and cheap to lease.

Sorry to hear about the delay, it's very annoying!

Yeah I can lease, however the PCP for an ST3 works out cheaper than a lease.

Looking at both a Clio and Megane RenaultSport at moment.

I am trying to avoid the hassle of selling Mondeo privately.

Well it appears walking in to the dealers and calling them a bunch of Cnuts and asking for deposit back does work at times.

That and Peugeot UK had a word with dealer on my behalf.

Had a bit of a polite email today saying car goes in to build next week and should be here by end of September / 1st week October.

Beats the bollox end up November delivery.

Still fucked off, just not manically so

Guess I can stop parking opposite the salesmans drive now
He seemed to be getting a bit stressed..

You do realise that you are the cu-t. Oh wait, cu-ts are useful. So you can't be a cu-t. Just a waynekerr. No wonder you got banned.

Besides the title of this post suggests you have more than one wife and this is THE primary wife you are getting a car for. Should not the title say MY wife as this would signify you have just one wife. Typical arrogant, chauvenist waynekerr.

Well (ignoring F30's post), the 208 is now on its way to the dealers for PDI and then pick up at some point.

Expecting an email today / tonight.

My darling wife has said the car is ours and I may also use it.

The car will also come with a free tank of fuel and some other free bits n bobs from the dealer.

From discussion with Peugeot, they basically shifted a block of cars destined for lease and changed that build to dealers cars.

Also I have only lost £100 of my trade in, this was agreed in wiriting when it was looking at November / December delivery.

Hopefully it won't be long.

My darling wife is actually now that bothered (likely due to the hassle with dealer).

I am however really looking at getting back in to a petrol hatchback again.

Have Detailer on standby once I get a collection date.

Moving house is less hassle than getting a new bloody car!

You seem rather pleased she allows you to drive it, kinda like its a surprise to you!!

Odd way to exist ....... we have our cars, don't need a letter of authority before choosing which keys to lift in the morning.

There is some level of humour in the statement.

However, there is also the fact I don't want to insure 2 cars for business insurance.

So her taking my car for the day, could bugger me up if I was due to go to Manchester or some place with work.

Also we actually talk to each other and don't 'just taking car keys in the morning'

I may need the Tourer or she may, so yes we ask each other about borrowing car otherwise it's just plain rude.
