Dent on the rear bumper sill

Hey guys, looking for some advice.

Just noticed this small indentation on the bumper, near the trunk sill. Don?t think it was caused by me personally. It?s driving me a bit stir crazy because I can notice it.

Some say that PDR doesn?t work on plastic but I feel like a little heat and I can push the dent out. I?m going to get a dent guy to look at it after the weekend.

Does anyone have any experience with dents/creases on the polyurethane bumper?

Thanks in advance

Heat can help to push out but careful not to overheat. Cracks can be welded. Creases near edges are slightly more difficult but can be dealt with.

Any photos of the damaged area?

Here?s a picture. I removed the diffuser to gain straight line access from underneath. I tried to use hairdryer and a long rod to push the against the indentation but only saw mild improvement

Most of the PDR guys said they can not fix it. Went to two high end local body shops and one wanted $1000 to repair and the other wanted 400 to remove the bumper and try to refinish it.

What a scam, I hate places like that. I feel like they high-ball so hard because they know people are going to want to low ball. It's so annoying.

You need a lot more heat than a hair dryer. A heat gun from a sensible distance in fact because you dont want to cook the paint. Some fireproof gloves and your finger will suffice to reach from behind or a rod with a flat tip.

Having failed that it can be filled. Shame about the unreasonable quote.
