First time wash this weekend

First time BMW owner here 2017 340i X Drive, Mineral Gray, leather with oyster stitching.

I plan on giving it its first wash this weekend and I recall reading something in the manual about not drying the headlights? Is there a certain way to wash them?

I have never done a two bucket wash but I plan on starting with this car. I have always dried my car with a chamois. I'm looking for general, safe wash tips for this new beauty. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I never read about that but I use an air compressor (https://www.google.com/shopping/prod...-gBTcQ8wIIYTAE ) to blow off the edges/ mirrors/ grill of the car and hit the lights with it. I then use a Mothers Drying Towel on the car.

Make sure us use a good car shampoo. Enjoy!

A natural chamois will pull the wax off the surface. The synthetic Absorber won't. I prefer waffle-weave microfiber towels after a blast from an air compressor (or leaf blower) to remove the bulk of the water.
