How's this for an idea:

Wine country cruise:

Meet at 10AM at Jamieson Ranch Vineyards
It is right off of hwy 12 going to hwy 29 towards Napa. They have a good place to take pictures against the Napa horizon.

Jamieson Ranch Vineyards
http://jamiesonranchvineyards.com
1 Kirkland Ranch Rd.
American Canyon, California 94503
707-254-8673

Then we can cruise over to Gott's Roadside for some food. Right off of hwy 29 in St. Helena.

31 mins from Jamieson's Ranch. Great Ahi Tuna burgers if you like that sorta thing. They have normal beef burgers and kid's menu's as well.

Gott's Roadside
http://gotts.com/
933 Main St, St Helena, CA 94574

Then at 11:30'ish head over to Castillo Di Amorosa

13 mins from Gott's in Calistogo

Castill Di Amorosa
http://www.castellodiamorosa.com/
4045 Saint Helena Highway, Calistoga, CA 94515

Note there is a General Admission Fee of $25 per person. See details here - http://www.castellodiamorosa.com/Vis...eral-Admission

I guess they can charge that much because it is a castle with a good view.

Open to other options/suggestions.

As far as dates I am open:

8/13
8/20

and most Saturday's in Sept for now...

Just had mine uninstalled at The One Auto Body in Daly City. Very reasonable prices.

Highway 84 Woodside is a great place to begin. It splits into many other routes like highway 35 and 9.

I go this way sometimes--it's nice and close to me--I am about 15 minutes from Woodside.

you don't get ticketed while your plate is on top of your dash?

lol sucks because it looks so good without.

Going to look into finding one that doesn't require drilling.

Could do the tow hook method but I'll take my chances without a plate. Been plateless for over half a year and only been stopped once at 2 am, no ticket just warning. Just a bored DCPD.

I'm more worried about the ticket man in SF then anything.

Parking somewhere and getting a ticket suckkkkks.

That's even more unlikely. The meter maids look at the meter's blinking lights. Not worth it for them to turn their heads every time they pass a car to look for the missing front plate.

makes sense, I suppose if your meter has expired and you happen to not have a plate...GOTCHA!

Either way, probably going to get the tow hook or even the automatic one that reverts under...probably wont work with the lip tho.

Ya dpt in sf is brutal. Also having license plate on the dash is super dangerous too when you get into an accident. Heads can get cut off.

It seems we have more than enough people willing to meet up, and a few locations are mentioned above...how about throwing a date and seeing if it works?

Want to see all the different set-ups some members are doing : D

Let's do Friday/Saturday since most are busy during the weekdays. Evenings would work best for me.
