What do you guys do to protect it from road rash, and rocks on the highway? (The unpainted part)

You can't clear bra it, so I was thinking maybe a black vinyl wrap. Thoughts?

Black vinyl would be a good option actually if you went matte. Otherwise like you said you can't clear bra it. I wonder if clear plastic dip would work? I actually took my lip off and sprayed clear plastidip where the lip attached to protect the paint since I had it clear bra'ed when the lip was installed. The clear dip is a matte finish. Might try that on my spare lip to see what it looks like.

Thanks! Yea. Definitely a matte black to match M decals on the side sills.

If you look at my profile pic I did clear bra the painted part. If you clear bra the unpainted matte black part it makes it look weird and shiny.

I am not sure how well the clear bra will stick to a textured surface raw plastic. You can always try I guess but as the OP stated you will make it glossy and I would expect with the textured surface you would have tiny air bubbles making it cloudy.

I painted the lower part on mine and applied 3M clear bra. So far so good. I've scrapped more than 6 times and it's still holding up. I can see where rocks have hit but no real damage and most importantly no peeling.

Glad to see its holding up in a Chicago winter well.
