Leaving devices connected to the power outlet 24/7

I didn't order my car with navigation, so I'm using a Garmin GPS instead. I was just wondering if I leave the GPS connected to the power outlet, will it continue to drain my car's battery even if the car is turned off?

[oops posted on the wrong forum, can someone move this thread to General]

Can't speak for the F30, but on my E53 X5 the power outlets allow the connected devices continue to draw power even after the car is turned off, but on E92 M3 the power outlet will stop supplying power after the car is off.

It will not drain your battery. When the car is off, everything will shut off in the F30.
