Michelin Pilot Sport 4
I have searched for this and did not find an answer. Michelin has a run flat Pilot Sport 4 option. I want to stay with run flats for family considerations. I know this is a summer tire. I live in the NC Piedmont and have a second car I can use, so I just won’t plan to drive this BMW in < 45 degree weather. Does anybody have any experience or see drawbacks to this plan. I don’t want the hassle of switching wheels. Thanks

I don't see any drawbacks. As long as there is no ice or snow on the asphalt and it is not extremely cold, good summer tires always provide better grip than winter or all-seasons regardless the temperature.

To my knowledge, PS4S is the direct replacement for PSS. PS4 that OP is asking about is a slight step down.
