The Combox physical location, if you have one it's in the centre of the boot, pretty much behind the rear seat. You need to flip up the entire board to see it.

NBT, i had the impression that combox is built into the headunit, i.e. behind the CD slot.

But for 2012/05 production date, should be Combox

While waiting for my significant half today, I started to play with BMW Live again, and immediately notice Google Local Search was replaced with Online Search.

It seems to throw back result similar to Googlemaps, i.e. not restricted to company name that Google Local Search was used for (basically an online phone directory with addresses). I noticed in the past certain keyword will not get any result (while normal googlemap would provide some suggestion).

HOWEVER, the functionality to transfer the result back to onboard navigation seems to have disappear. Didn't do enough search, but all i see when I select the result is "phone number" (where available), the only other option available were "send to email", which was my configured/registered email.

Is it just me, or everyone having the same problem.

I'm glad the search engine has "upgraded", it is giving more accurate/comprehensive search result compared to past, but at the same time making it useless because we cannot transfer it to navigation

I turned the antivirus off, I get the connected with an error symbol on the network connection but nothing after that.

How long should it take for a connection to establish?

I would turn the Engine on, just to make sure car has adequate power.

It should connect in about 2 minutes time.

You can't rely on ZGW_Search though. If you get the Yellow Exclamation on your LAN Adapter, then try and connect to car with E-Sys, and then Read FA and SVT, and see if it works.

The car should at least have 6NH Basic Bluetooth.

In order to have Bluetooth Streaming (Bluetooth A2DP Profile), you must have Enhanced Bluetooth option on car. In order to have Enhanced Bluetooth Option on car, you must have a Combox.

Got connected not sure what sorted it, I messed with a LAN setting, still showing exclamation mark on network connection but ZGW Search showed the active connection.

Time for a breather, order patch and token then lets see what I can do.

Yes.

You don't need to FDL Code Anything. Just VO Code Combox and Head unit.
