Satin Black or Gloss Black 403M

Which would be a better colour to refurb a set of 403Ms?
Satin or gloss black?

Cheers

Strangely I was just thinking about this very subject today! For me it would have to be satin (gloss being too showy for my tastes) but each to their own. I saw a set of gloss 403Ms on Ebay earlier...let me have a dig for the link.

Edit: here it is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-BM...AAAOSwT5tWIQPz

I'd say satin, would look more OEM. That said I've never seen a set in satin so who knows. Looks great on the 359 wheels

Neither - dark anthracite/graphite colour looks way better than black!

But if it has to be black I'd say satin over gloss

+1 on this.

For me black alloys look like steel wheels with the wheel trims missing.
What about anthracite or orbit grey.
Obviously your choice though.

Personally love balck wheels

I'm getting gloss ones, which after about a week without a clean look satin anyway.

ironically mine are booked in for april 27th, the fella i am using who i have used before is able to do them in black inside spokes and a bronze lacquered face, the effect looks absolutely stunning especially on mineral grey of black saphire.

it is a bit more expensive to have this done, £320 for all 4, and will take 3 days. but the result will be great and very different.

i used to love the idea of all black wheels but the chavtastics have made it a very common and tacky choice i think.

just my opinion though there is still a place for gloss/satin black

Have you got any pictures of that finish? Sounds unusual but interesting...

To me black wheels seem a bit passe to me, especially white cars with black wheels just screams Essex wideboy/drug dealer/chav. Always hated the look, but even more now it's kind of gone out of fashion...

Exactly that.

Gloss when dirty (which doesn't take long) become matte anyways.

Have gloss rims on my RRE and they rarely ever stay gloss for long. But when they are..... They look wicked

Yes I've got a spare set of 442's - was wondering what I could do with them to make them different ?

I went with gloss black on my last car and loved the look. Satin black looks very drab when even slightly dirty. It does look great when clean though.
