What you mean finally BMW is putting calipers on its cars that arent a piece of shit rust bucket within 3 months of ownership.

A family member i know had a clio with Brembo's on it!

BMW is late to the party when it comes to stuff like brake callipers.

BMW should have just released real life pics of the M-Sport at first, would have quieted a lot of the haters.

I was of the opinion that F30 was far greater looking than F32 until I saw these pics, now I think it's a much different story. Personally, I prefer the looks of the F30, but I would gladly take either of these cars and stare at how awesome they look

I just can't get over the back end of the F32, it looks too long/too big and just looks bloated. It's still a good looking car, it just looks like it's missing 2 doors, and not in a positive way.

This car looks great. I can't wait to drive one. The M treatment is critical.

I have to agree about the interior. While the F3X series in general is moving upscale, the interior seems to be less luxurious and well-appointed than all of the competition. In my opinion, the new IS, the recently refreshed A4 and the new G50 all have better interiors. Apparently Mercedes is going to focus on interior for the new C as well. And, there is a really large jump in interior execution between the F3X and the F10, whereas in the E60/E9X they were more similar than different.

The interior in the F32 isn't a showstopper, but it's not a strong point of the car, to my eyes.

You may be onto something. If what I read is correct, BMW designed the 6 series Gran Coupe first, then removed two doors and shortened the wheelbase slightly to derive the 6 coupe. Maybe they have done the same thing here. the proportions don't bother me, though.

I am sure Bimmerpost are heading to Lisbon ?

Perhaps you could do a Q & A for your members.

Interesting...did not know that! I think the Gran Coupe is going to be the real winner when it is revealed.

The ironic thing is that this car will perform essentially equally to an E46 M3 (source, see "Performance"), which is the M3 most people on these boards seem to hold up above all others. Yet, many here say that this car is undeserving of all the Ms.

I guess that's not exactly what you are saying; you are compaining about the proliferation of all the badging. Still, it looks to be a hell of a performer and I'm OK with the balls being out a little. At least it's not like the GM cars in the 80s that used "GT", "Rally", "IROC" and such, and really didn't deliver.

Yes, I was there too. Was going to post until I saw yours. Great looking car. M4 will be awesome. Bit similar to F30 but I'm glad because that's what I have. 19's better on saloon though. Interior is nice as its the same as mine.

Looks good.
Not exactly. If you are going from an e92 to an F32 you will notice a more up scale drive quality due to the longer wheel base and extra width in the track.

Good looking coupe BUT

My impressions:

Overall impressions were very good. It has very nice proportions, looks fatter and more squat than the E92.

I only sat in there for a couple of minutes but it felt like a nice place to be. Nice finish to parts and seating position is what I would expect - nice and low with driver orientated controls.

The rear consol doesn't look as good as it does in the current E92 i.e. it doesn't meet and continue through the rear seat and the storage tray is more like that out of the E82. So a bit of cost cutting there IMO.

I assume the dash is the same as the F30 so nothing to add there, although I do agree with the comments that it does look a bit 1 series - I'm really not that keen on the 'its a tablet stuck in a dash' design that they're doing for the nav screen but I guess it could grow on me.

Would I order one? Yes, but until I see pricing I'm not sure if it will be out of my company car range with any decent level of spec... time will tell.

The problem with this car is that F30 was there before. If 4 series came out 1st, everyone would love the coupe and sedan for looking like a coupe.
Another downside is reportedly cheap interior and removal some of the luxury bits that were present in previous generations.
I was looking forward to reveal of the car but now not sure if I want it. Considering the cost, the fact that electric steering is not perfect, and engine in 335 the same as previous generation, other brands higher or lower in price can be just more interesting at the moment...

I'm curious to see if Alpina will release the B4 based on the M Sport kit like they did with the X3.
Their engine is much more attractive than this one

Off topic - I was speaking to a chap from BMW Motorsport at the FoS and they are all called gutted of the decision to drop the high-revving motorsport derived engines and change to turbos.

4 series really looks great in M Sport garb, especially in Estoril. Can't wait to see one in person.
