I'm PW46, also. How did you get more specific status? The 800 number just says "in production" with an estimated completion date of 11/21.

i'm guessing around 11/19 your status will go to body shop and so on

CA said my car would be delivered to Performance Center 30 days prior to my PCD date as this is the earliest date for PCD. Can't decide on whether to wait the extra 30 days for PCD or just pick up at dealer? Can't believe they would let the car sit for 30 days. What is the typical time from when car is delivered to Performance Center to the PCD date?

That doesn't sound right. The car arrives at PCD 10-14 days before you'd pick it up. Depending on where you live, that may add 2-3 weeks to the normal time you'd be able to pick up at a dealer.

Yeah, I don't want to give up my PCD date and find out that I'd get the car 1-2 weeks earlier otherwise at the dealer. Need to call them back to clarify this.

What PCD date did they give you? PCD is a total blast. Waiting a few extra weeks for PCD is painful, but the experience is like nothing else. You get to drive a car like a madman, and do so many other fun things. Incredible experience.

Sam - that is what mine said too and then one day it just changed to your vehicle is in the body ago followed by in the paint shop.

I would say your production is locked now and you will see it change in the next 3-5 business days. Mine for some reason or another seemed to fly through and update very quickly whereas some others did not. I think it is just luck of the draw, my BMW online still shows my vehicle as completed production while the 800 number says at port awaiting a shipping vessel.

FWIW, I have a PW45 vehicle at the port (or possibly on the Porgy which just left Bremerhaven, haven't confirmed yet) and the earliest PCD date I was offered was January 3rd.

Thanks for all of the info. I've went with the PCD, meh what's another couple of weeks, right. I'm wondering now if I'll get the new NAV with a Nov/Dec PW, I've got lots to research till this baby is deliveried? This will be my 1st delivery outside of buying off the dealer lot and will be my 4th 3 series so I went all out and got every pkg/option. Feeling pretty stoked right now!

Does anyone know the dates the Germany build boats will be leaving? Currently my order has been released to a carrier and is in route to the port of exit.

Sweet! You'll get to enjoy ever gadget, and hopefully we'll also get to enjoy the new nav. /Fingers crossed.

This is my first BMW, so I'm super stoked as well. I've heard great things about the Performance Center experience too, and as I live in South Florida we'll have a nice little road trip to break in the car on the way home. Can't wait!

My CA just emailed me and said my car will be on a boat that doesn't go back to Germany first & car will be in Calif December 30th. Anybody else on West Coast confirm this direct boat??
