Vodafone fortunately. Only them and O2 that can manage a signal where I live. And VF even gets 4 bar of 4g in my house which is faster than my by infinity connection!

It takes you to the German Google home page by default but I've always been able to enter any web address.

Others may disagree, but I don't see the need for Internet when we all have smartphones and/or tablets with us anyway.

This isn't just for the "internet" option, it also applies to all the other connected drive services, RTTI, emergency call, teleservices etc.

Ah - right. I have Business Media so some of those services are there, my meaning was that we have other ways of getting internet so not really necessary in the car - but the screen is bigger than a phone I suppose!

I do agree, it's not an option i'd choose, especially at £95 per year!

Guess you're a bit safer surfing on the idrive while driving than on your phone though, so maybe that's part of the reason for it.
