Yeah debating on going stage 2 once I get back over there. Curious to see what needs to be replaced to support it without breaking in <6months.

lol I hate that im the guinea pig but somebody has to do it. Stage 2 was well worth it though!

With the PURE Stage 2, 8spd Auto, and stock DV: The factory DV can dump boost in between shifts. We have seen it before. It doesn't seem to happen with the DCT or MT. Only the 8spd Auto. Upgrade to the DV+ and problem solved. I doubt it's your trans. We have yet to see the 8spd auto slip.

well thats good to know!!! I was hoping that was it. I haven't had any experience with a slipping transmission in my life so I wasnt sure what I was experiencing, but a loss of boost makes more sense! and is much cheaper lol

If you look at some logs you would notice I also advice getting JB4 mobile so you see everything live on your phone. Made me feel a lot more comfortable pushing the car.

I'm still not that quite knowledgeable when it comes to reading logs lol but I'm getting better at it. And I do have the JB4 mobile, it's sooooo worth it!

I just hopped in the car and took it for a pull last Sunday and this is what I got.

I'm surely not used to looking at datalogs using the JB4 (Yet) since I haven't had a chance to do any.

Around 170 on the x axis:
-Pedal at max
-RPM's increasing so no shift took place
-Appears to go extremely lean (over 17)

what is the comparison of "throttle" vs "pedal"?

Is this what we are viewing in the datalog as far as the throttle position?
"Note: Corrective actions such as loss of traction control action or ECU PSI over DME BT or very low HPFP pressure can all cause the throttle to close…..without user input."
Given boost targets are not met, then I would assume this is directly due to running lean?

I'm at work and all I have is my phone, so that's the best I can do for right now. When I get home ill upload the csv files, and two more logs.

I would post the settings but they're not stored in the app for some reason and my car is all the way across Houston at their shop and they're closed for the 4th. I'll probably go up there mon or Tuesday and put that DV+ on and see how everything goes and then post the JB4 settings.

Give_Em_The_DD who has an XI 600+awhp 335XI. auto trans...the issue was holding the torque or HP.....he went to the track trying to break his own record of 11.3. on his new tune.....the thing that snapped.....were the axels. that was the weak put when he put down the power....probably more of an AWD thing an an RWD thing. something to consider with LSD and slicks though.

holy shit 600whp? so he holds the record? but damn....they dont make beefier axles yet either...at least not to my knowledge. did he break a front or rear axle?

Ok, so I installed the DV+ (which was the most INSANELY difficult task of doing without removing the turbo) and now she runs perfect!!!! :happy anim:

So therefore the transmission is holding after all! Level 10 will be further down the road now lol.

Attached are the 2 logs I took. (just delete doc and replace it with csv, I guess thats the only way I can upload them)
I suck at reading logs, I need to read the JB4 bible again lol.
I did three pulls, but didnt record the first pull. the first two pulls were fkn insane, the third pull however i think the JB4 went into failsafe mode or whatever because the boost didnt get very high at all. this was on map 6 (i forgot, thought it was on 5), 93 pump and 50/50 meth. I usually run 100 (to supplement fueling) but the shop mixed it on accident. Ill keep it on map 5 until I install the PI to keep from blowing up my motor lol. I also have new PSS on the rears so now traction is nowhere near as much an issue as it was with my balding Invos.

Also Ill be ordering Motiv's PI kit here soon too

Just curious how do you get the JB4 mobile to work? Im on iphone and I see an app for 32 bucks is that one it? Can somebody explain to me? I hate having to use cord and laptop mad annoying.

You have to have the Bluetooth connect kit, you can google it fairly easily.

Congrats and that is great news. I am not pushing anywhere near the power your putting down, but I'm getting a lot of stuttering under high boost.

I just bought the DV+. Could you give me a quick run down of what I should expect in terms of installing the DV+? Radiator drain, which parts to remove, etc?

Well I'm assuming it's going to be different on an F10, I would think easier actually due to having more room but that's all speculation. I didn't remove my water pump or radiator, but I did unmount the water pump and water pump bracket, remove my FMIC, disconnect the radiator fan and associated tubing/cooler that's mounted to it and slide it up about 5" so I can get a drill with an extension and some rounded hex bits in there to undo the 3 screws holding the diverter valve on. The very top screw I had to get using a traditional L shaped Allen wrench. A drill isn't necessary but it makes it easier. If you don't have any I would definitely go buy some rounded hex bits, so you can undo the hex screws from an angle. Should be a #5
