Total newb question, so I apologize in advance. Can you just go into a bmw dealer with this list and customize a car? If so, I wish I had known when I bought my 320 as there seem to be a lot of things that I didn't know we're available as options ops:

Now that is an impressive set of colors, options, and packages for this car. Would love to see these options on an M3/M4 especially the ability to add on M Performance parts as part of the build rather than waste time and money removing stock. I especially like this option:

M Performance Package II $2,500
ZE1 M Performance Exhaust x
ZE2 M Power Kit

Its just curious to me how a premium car like the F8X does not get the same treatment. So many folks would love to throw on all the Carbon Fiber Exterior and Exhaust right away and especially for those that want to have it factored into residual in the leases, missed sales opportunity and happy customers

ZMA 6-Speed Manual Transmission

No Manual Transmission option ZMA for 435i? VERY disappointing.

I was also hoping to finally see a 6MT option for the 428i xdrive, but no luck there either.

Come on BMW -- maybe for the USA introduction?

You certainly can do that through a CA (client advisor); however, not all models have that same extensive list of options. The 320i in particular has far less options and choices available, in fact it probably has the fewest options of any model. My understanding is that with the 320i, BMW tried to offer a sort of enthusiasts choice model that stuck to the basics of driving dynamics over luxury (http://www.f30post.com/forums/showth...ighlight=kafka). Hence things like the sport package, as opposed to other new models with Sport Line, which is very cheap and even includes the M-Sport steering wheel.

My point being, if you're looking to have the most choices available as far as options, colors, packages, lines, etc. then generally speaking your higher series and bigger engine versions are going to provide that, with some exceptions.

Thanks, the question was definitely for filing away for my next one. And not only am I new to BMWs, but I'm new to buying cars from a dealer...I managed to go 3 decades (okay 1.5 fairly!) without purchasing a car from a dealership. The 320 was an entry point (and I think it's a great one), but I fully intend to step up on the next one (knock on wood). And for that, I'd like to be prepared!

And back on topic, those 4 series gran coupes are nice looking cars and after looking at the pricing, I kind of wish my old car would've held out an extra year

I love the individual options on this car and the Frozen Cashmere Silver metallic exterior paint looks so sick.

Anyone have any pics of the interior Ivory/Black Dkt Lthr? Cant seem to find a car with this interior colour...

The carbon black car in the pictures and videos has that interior. Will likely be my personal combo as well!

That looks more like the Oyster (slightly more beige looking) but awesome none the less. For anyone interested in playing around with the colours and such:

I'm about to place an order for 435i Grand Coupe, Tanzanite Blue, Premium package + M Performance. I'm debating whether to get Performance II which adds the power kit, 20 more HP .

Anyone have any advice? Is $2500 worth the extra 20hp?

Not worth it. Dinan makes a kit for $1999 and there are other tuners out there that get you more for almost $600
