Jb4 stage 1 install on 2014 428i

A little late to the party but I just recently had my preferred shop (supreme power in OC) install my stage one unit. It's been a few days and man oh man do I love it.
Comfort modes seems like a more refined sports mode. It's lots more torque and power early on. Sports mode is just tons more fun now and even a little scary at times as it surprises me.
I was a little apprehensive at first to install cause of not knowing how the car would behave. But now my only regret is not doing it sooner.
Great big thanks to supreme power for the instal and quality service as always!!

Cool to hear but what I'm really curious about is what those images of nearly naked anime girls on your phone are

In sport mode when you upshift above 4K, is it any more abrupt than stock? I picked up JB1 for a 328 and shifts feel really rough.

I'll have to get back to you on that one. Didn't notice anything in particular but I'll pay closer attention. My hard driving was very smooth as I remember.

So I had time to do some spirited driving today and didn't notice any hard or abrupt issues on 4th. I push 2nd and 3rd and even shifted at a higher rpm but still felt like butter.

A little less than a month with the Bms stage one and I'm getting drive train malfunctions. Took it to the dealer and they want all aftermarket parts removed? Ughhhhh

Anyone know of a mod friendly BMW dealership in so cal near LA? Willing to drive for a bit for one.

Takes 5 minutes to remove the JB, why dont you do that then take it to the dealership?

What modifications are installed? It takes literally 2 minutes to remove the Stage1 tuner.

I didn't install it myself so I was kinda hesitant to remove it. I just got it removed and the error codes back to normal. The dealership wants the intake also removed to look the car over which is annoying. But yeah, for me. My personal experience. Love the Bms stage one power that I got, lots of fun. Maybe if I knew to to install and remove would be worth it. But not worth the hassle of dealership problems.

Also side note, I didn't bother to remove it or have it removed prior to the dealership cause they said it was fine and it didn't matter. Clearly not the case.

Only mods are the Injen I take (makes a cool sound)
Custom duel exhaust, and lowering springs H&R. Aside from the Bms stage one

Its a 5 minute install how can you not be able to install BMS Stage1 ???????????

I understand JB4 as its a longer install, but Intake and Stage1 tunes on a N20 is such a piece of cake lol.

Some are afraid of messing with ECU themselves, but once they watch the mechanic do it they realize how easy it actually is

Could also be 91 octane and any tune with that is a hit or miss, unless R&D tested

JB is one of the most common/well known and used tunes though...
