B46 Engine Downpipe - Catted or Catless?

Hey all, looking to add a downpipe with my setup as I will be getting a tune at the same time. Just wondering what people's opinions are on catless vs catted/high flow downpipes? I've heard people say that catless can be tinny/raspy, and obviously smells pretty bad. However, in Canada a catted downpipe is more than 4 times the price of catless! (350 for catless and 1450 for catted!)

Just wondering if anybody has installed a catless downpipe on their B46 and has any input that can be provided, thanks. Really not sure which one to go with here.

I have a catless downpipe on my B46 F31 Wagon - Evolution Racewerks. I don't really notice the smell unless it's in the garage running for a few minutes (door open) - even then, it's minor. Unless your state/region requires inspections, I'd go catless to avoid the extra cost.

How's the sound? Any raspiness? Just wondering because I saw this video on youtube and he has the same car/downpipe that I was looking at https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HEc52j7LviM

And it sounds awful literally sounds like a weedwhacker. Maybe it's just the video, but damn.

I agree that the clip you shared sounds raspy. I also have a Dinan axle-back exhaust (and Dinan CAI), which sounds as loud, but quite deeper than the video. I started with the axle-back, so I unfortunately cannot comment on how it sounds in person with only the downpipe. I'm happy with my sound setup, considering the size/output of the B46. It does drone slightly at lower RPM.

No need to spend $1400 for catted, we offer CTS downpipes for ~$350

i prefer catted because of the fuel smell produced by the catless. I'm also not a fan of the raspy catless sound.
