Seeing as how this thread has been resurrected, can I just advise anyone from the UK who is thinking about doing this to not bother. UK cars have a different clutch throw to US cars and this mod does nothing except make the car refuse to start.

You can disable this with coding. If you miss this safety feature, you can code to start the car when holding the break pedal down.

Just did this mod this morning. I could not see what i was doing so i had to do it by feel, no real issues tho. I took one of the shims out(came with 3)
noticeable difference for sure. i do think my call is rolling forward a little when i press the clutch all the way in in first gear tho. gonna have to check that out.

So after installing this...yes shifting is easier you get the the final position of the clutch faster.
I am such a newb at MT; I might as well ask. Do manufacturers make the clutch so deep to increase the room for error ( for drivers that don't clutch all the way in? ). When you have the clutch stop installed; you must clutch all the way in or else you'd be forcing the shifter into gear no...i.e grinding gears? |

I must be missing something, cannot seem to find the OEM clutch throw. Is it located BEHIND the clutch pedal? I've reached behind and even looked with a flashlight but cannot find where it's located.

if you look place your hand against the back of the clutch pedal and fully depress it to the wall, the point of the back of the clutch pedal that touches the wall should have a round projection, just pull it out from the wall.

Ordered the clutch stop a few days ago from bms. Received it today and installed it within 2 minutes, easy and only need one hand for the job. Much easier and quicker shifting. Definitely recommend this item to any 6mt

Just installed mine. I ended up taking one of the spacers out. The clutch stop was way too close to the engagement point for me. I guess years of driving cars with extra travel have made me expect that a little bit.
