Man this is tempting. So all we need to do is remove the unit and use the can tool to clear the codes before taking it to the dealer? The car is a lease so I really don't want to mess up the engine warranty...

You can always buy the bms CAN tool which will clear the codes.

anyone run an e92 M3 yet with the BMS tune ? numbers align pretty close (M3 being ~340/250 stock, and adding 50/60 to the F30 335i would bring it to ~330/340). They weigh very similar so i'm figuring all the extra torque should get the win in most any circumstance

I don't think so... the M3 doesn't have turbos so not as easily 'tunable'. That said, once you start modding that car (supercharger, etc.) they get pretty insane. I'm just curious if anyone has given a stock one a run yet and what to expect. My brother has one, so if i ever get the BMS tune, i'll be sure to report back accordingly

It won't show anything on the f30. It still clears the codes (autobclear is set by default) according to Terry @ BMS. I've mentioned to them that they should be more clear. Documentation is non existent for the F30 except for a useless 6 second video they filmed.

Terry is good at answering emails, I'll give him that.

I actually just got an email back from him and he said the same thing. I was messing with it and pressing and holding the button a bunch trying to figure it out. I hope that didn't mess anything up! haha. However, i'm sure once its unplugged, it resets itself. He said to just keep it plugged in and it is set for auto clear, so that should do the trick.

I could have sworn that I read on their site or one of the BMS employees on here that they weren't 100% certain that the codes actually clear on the F30.

We will find out when the downpipe goes on next week. Apparently it is good for the dpfix by default as well..

You mean by default, you won't throw a CEL?

Keep us posted.

While I like BMS, they really need to hire someone to write clear documentation. It's all over the place, and finding out after purchase that there is no indicator on the CAN tool is just bad business. It would have taken them 2 seconds to put a notice on the website.

Well the downpipe is on earlier than expected, and it runs AMAZING. The tune made a big difference, but this set it over the top!

I actually do photography and online media and marketing at a VW, Audi, Porsche performance shop, and we are merging into the BMW world now that we have a few resources to start development. I can't give to much information since we are not an advertiser on the forum and I will get flagged for it. However, we will become an advertiser very soon after all of the preliminary real world testing is done as well as dyno testing.

Oh, and the can tool works just like terry said... No lights

We currently manufacture DP's and exhaust systems for many VW's and Audi, and this one is the first BMW exhaust component which is pretty exciting!

Yes. Catless 4" downpipe to stock catback. More info coming very soon

Yes, it gives is a PERFECT not in my honest opinion. Just slightly louder and more aggressive, and since there is no more cat the turbo spool is very apparent
