[328i_E92_2007]

Yesterday Spacex attempted to land the first stage of its Falcon 9 rocket on a barge in the ocean. It was their second attempt and they almost made it! If successful they could one day re-use rockets instead of having them just burn up in our atmosphere, reducing the cost of sending things/humans to space substantially! Check out the video below.

Cool deal!! Read an article saying that ULA may run out of rockets soon so you guys will be the major player in the launch business.

All the Sci-fi movies have been landing rockets upright since at least 1950s, even on other planets with differing gravities and atmospheres.

I read it on wsj.com a few weeks back. I looked up some articles today based on your comment and it looks like ULA is looking to end the Russian rockets purchases as Boeing and Lockheed Martin's partnership looks to create rockets with reusable engines.
