Thats the holy grail of coding. Many coders have died trying to find it

You don't have a drive mode select switch?
I thought all F30s had this.

Have found the following info from the F25 X3 forum regarding disable cold/warm light check for certain bulbs. Useful for replacing the standard incandescent bulbs with LED replacements.

This posting is not about “how to code” but will give those coders the directions to fix the bulb errors. This sheet only contains the codes I changed, I was able to figure out the nomenclature for some of the bulbs and I will list those below.
NSW: Front Fog Lights
NSL: Rear Fog Lights
RFS: Reverse Lights
BL: Brake Lights
FRA_HL or HR: Rear Turn Signals (Left or Right)
FRA_VL or VR: Front Turn Signals (Left or Right)
WBL: I am uncertain but believe this is the Rear LED Brake Strips on HID equipped F25’s.
Since the F30 does not have FRM module, I've ran a search and found something similar to the F25.

In the Frmbody module > 3061 LceLciOutputChannels, 67
TFL_L or R: front LED corona rings L or R
NSW_L or R: front fog lights
FRA_V_L or R: front turn signals

Here are other names in that channels that need to be checked:
AL_L or R: brake lights?
POL_L or R: are LEDs according to the settings, maybe the parking light strips on the tail lights.
FL_L or R: not LED
SML_L or R: not LED
FRA_Z_L or R: most likely mirror turn signals as the setting is set to LED as default
BIX_L or R: name looks like Bi-xenon?
LCI_0: LED
LCI_1: LED
LCI_2: not LED
LCI_3: LED
LCI_4: LED
LCI_5: LED
LCI_6: LED
LCI_7: LED
LCI_8: LED

Settings are similar as well
WARMUEBERWACHUNG - Warm Check
KALTUEBERWACHUNG - Cold Check
IS_LED - Indicate the bulb is LED

I finally managed to get everything ready. Mine is built on 10th Octobre.

What I tried:
- the two settings for the turn signal in hud
- the hud_nbt (I think it was there) entertainment list

well, both don't work, but for the entertainment list there is at least a checkbox in the hud settings: entertainment/telephone. Unfortunately I can't check it..

Will need to read first, I guess, and see what's possible with the new ones..

Look in your KOMBI, not your CIC (NBT) module.

I've been told it does not work at all in the f30 (the HUD turn signals that is) I cannot test for myself since I don't have the HUD.

But the golden rule of this forum is; always listen to Shawn

This is where it is in the F25:

To display entertainment information in your HUD (only shows when you scroll with the steering wheel roller switch)
KOMBI/3000/HUD_ENTERTAINNMENT_ENABLE--->Aktiv

To display incoming phone information on the HUD:
KOMBI/3000/HUD_TELEFONANRUF_ENABLE--->Aktiv

To display previous phone list on the HUD (activated by the telephone button on the steering wheel):
KOMBI/3000/HUD_TELEFONBUNCH_ENABLE--->Aktiv

To display the voice commands on the HUD (activated when you press the voice command button on the steering wheel):
KOMBI/3000/HUD_SPRACHEINGABE_ENABLE--->Enable

This might sound stupid, but how do you unplug the enet cable when you're done coding? It's super easy to plug in, but I have to use considerable amount of force to unplug it to a point I'm afraid I might break something

Is there a easy/easier way to do this?

I assume you're talking about the OBD-II plug into the car, right?

There is just a small clip on the connector that holds it in place because it could fall out otherwise.

Just grab it and pull it down, rocking it a bit.

I've coded a dozen cars and I've never run into a sticky or hard to remove connector. It's pretty well made.

I'm with kon, it requires a considerable effort to yank it out. (all cars i used it on)

however, never any problems or broke parts yet, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
