335 Buzzing/Rattle behind Center Dash
Gaaaaa. it has been 600 miles and it's still there!!!! Anyone else experiencing this issue? Thinking of going to the service once I fully break in the 1200mi. Has anyone to able to pinpoint the exact problem causing this buzzin? Happens all the time when I'm in sport mode going from gear 1-2-3 (auto btw). So sad

Do u have HUD? Mine sounds like its coming from there. But I've only heard it when engine is cold. Fully warmed and I hear nothing

Had rattle coming from the navi screen in my car. But it has disappeared by itself now before I had time to bring it in to the dealer.

These are all new cars. Sometimes it takes time for these plastics to settle in. Maybe give it a year and see?

The plastic area anterior to the shifter squeaks on mine - I can duplicate the squeak by pushing on that area. I've read that they can insulate by placing insulation tape. I just turn up the music

Found my problem, whenever the front 2 climate vents face upward, it will cause the rattle noise / buzzing. When the vents are position neutral (straight) or down, the rattle/buzzing noise goes away. Hope this helps somebody.

i had a rattling noise coming from underneath the shifter at certain rpms. took it to the dealer. they kept it for 2 days but fixed the problem. First they removed center console and carpet and realized it was coming from underneath the floor. They removed transmission shield, exhaust system and heat shileds and found a vent tube for the tranfer case that was vibrating against the floor. Then they had to disconnect driveshaft and lower the transmission to take out the tube, cut 8mm off and that fixed the problem.
I almost felt bad, but the car is completely quite now. They told me they also put some felt tape all over dash. |

I agree it is unacceptable to have a ~$50,000 car with rattles like this. I don't recall seeing this many "rattle" posts with previous new models like the E90 etc. |
