i did notice most folks running the 235/35 and 265/30 but i prefer compliance and a bit more "cushion" as we have horrible roads in my metro area. still very sporty and a huge upgrade over the run flats but a bit more compliant ride and safer on the wheels if a large pothole or similar tries to take the car out haha.
Ok, I got it. I am comparing the new front vs new rear. Not the old setup vs new setup. Thanks! I'm getting 235/40 and 265/35.

Haven't been able to get a clear answer, but what type of tire set-up is most common for x-Drive GCs on standard suspensions. Specifically trying to figure out the proper set up for all season tires.

My 437s are still sitting in my garage. I can't find all seasons with 40/35. I guess that's why most people use 35/30. I am waiting for the B14 PSS to arrive. Maybe I won't able to run the 437s.

Seems like 255/35 265/35 is the only all wheel set up that gets close. Sucks that the 40/35 combo is limited to summers or winters.

I put in OEM M4/M3 (437M) wheels powder coated to ferric grey on my F36 435d Gran Coupe Xdrive stock M Sport suspension. Went with 235/40/19 fronts and 265/35/19 on the rears.

The front tires poke out very slightly maybe 5mm and the rears are flush. Only issue is the front tyres are rubbing very slightly on the suspension struts when reversing at full lock.

Other than that I'm super please with the new wheels, they are lighter and car drives better. I'm getting some ACS springs to lower the car to close the wheel arch gap. Pics below.

Setup:

19x8.5 ET: 35 Front 245/35ZR-19 Mich Pilot Sport A/S 3+

19x9.5 ET: 35 Rear 275/30ZR-19 Mich Pilot Sport A/S 3+

Combination of offsets and tires size makes for tires flush with fender without spacers. Aggressive tire width (esp. rear) makes the car look as an entire different animal from the puny 8" square 400M wheels car came with.

No rubbing & no tire stretch with these size tires

Looks beautiful!! Awesome setup!

235/40, 265/35, 26.4/26.3" diameters, 3.7"/3.7" sidewall. will help correct bmw speedo that reads high, reduce fender well gap, more impact protection and better ride.

235/35, 265/30, 25.5/25.3" diameters, 3.2/3.1" sidewalls. will increase speedo error to read even higher than actual, increase fenderwell gap, less impact protection and harsher ride. however you should accelerate faster and put more mileage on your car than you're actually traveling.

i notice most people using 235/40/19, 265/35/19 on this forum
For anyone looking at this thread to change wheels to OEM 437M wheels, a word of warning 235/40 setup at the front rubs on F36 Xdrive. Rubs on suspension and wheel arch. 235/35s will probably clear the wheel arches but not sure about the suspension.

The rubbing is dependent on the offset. The 437M front 19x9 has an offset of ET 29. Couple this with 235/40R19, and that will cause rubbing. On an F36 xDrive with stock M-Sport suspension, 235/40R19 should be coupled with a 19x9 wheel that has maximum offset of ET 31. That extra 2mm is causing the rubbing. There's a reason why wheel manufacturers only offer 19x8.5 ET35 and 19x9.5 ET40 with 5/120, 72.6 bore for BMW. OEM F36 with M-Sport brakes on 19" are 19x8 ET36 and 19x9 ET47. Stick with ET35 and ET40.
