The parts changes from the EU 320d to the US 328d is very minimal. Not nearly as much as you're listing here. The cooling system would change simply because of the market it's going into. Think about Texas where it's hot and speed limits are high, that's not exactly the same as most of Europe.

As far as I know the head and turbo are exactly off an EU 320d. The only difference I've heard is some emissions parts which were required to meet the more stringent CARB regulations.

While the block and head are the same (I think), the pistons are different. The intake is different. The DPF/DOC is different.

Check realoem, because there are more differences than you think.
