Well initially, we drove the vehicle and didn't feel a difference, so I left my car at the dealership for two more days. When I came back, I could immediately notice a difference when the tech started my engine. It sounded like a 435i.

Some notes from a little more driving this weekend. There's a huge difference in the sound of the exhaust and engine note, when switching driving modes. ECO PRO is the quietest, with Sport being the loudest. Comfort sounds like ECO PRO with a little more noise. When revving the engine up in sport mode it truly feels like a 435i. The engine sounds rough and aggressive. The exhaust is louder and you hear more engine noise than turbo. Sport mode just pulls effortlessly. I was doing over 100 this weekend on the highway and didn't even know it. Had to slow down real quick haha.

I've also noticed my gas mileage has gone down a lot. Which is to be expected since I'm driving th car more and the tune uses more boost. I have to fill my car up just about every week now. I might be able to get a week and half if I stay in ECO PRO and comfort. Overall I'm throughly satisfied with the tune.
I didnt notice much difference on the engine noise and probably up a notch on the exhaust-- (I had the dinan free flow exhaust already installed for almost a year now before I got the tune)But yeah, there were a couple of times I felt like my head and body is gonna separate when the tune does its pull LOL. I got off early at work today so i test drove a 428i and 335i. definitely feel the difference vs the 428i. I dont think I will appreciate the stock 4 banger again, it will always feel slower to me LOL. I guess once you experience the boost you never look back On the 335i I feel like the power is there but heavy. The tune pull definitely way better than a stock 335 maybe because the n20 is lighter. I know all these are subjective but I attempted to get dyno measure but too busy and no spot open. Anyways like you im really satisfied!

Sorry been busy with work all week. Glad you like the tune man! I'm surprised you don't feel and hear the difference in the engine with sports mode active. Put your car in park, put it in sport mode, then rev the engine up. It's feels so rough and mean and it's loud. I like it. Do you have 93 octane out there? When I was on leave back January, I visited my mom in Texas and I think I remember seeing 93 out there. Also you probably have the N20 engine not the N26 like me. Due to the fact you're not in Cali like me and emissions laws are different out in Texas. Your tune will pull harder with the N20 and the 93 octane...

yep, lucky us here in texas we get 93! I will try do sport mode in rev later and see if I hear any difference. Maybe the reason why I dont hear any significant diff is because I have the Dinan Exhaust? Although what I started noticing (hearing) was a more pronounced BOV hissing sound of the turbo ( I think)

So have you noticed any change in the engine note yet?

I have the N26

I have the N26 and interested in installing Dinan stage 1. How much did dealer charge to install them? and how does it drive vs 335/435?

Check my post # 23. in terms of labor/install cost- from what I've read it really depends on where you are.

It was $1499 plus labor which is dependent on your dealer... As far as how it compares, I raced a 335i coupe tonight and initially I pulled on him but after about 60mph, his car just pulled away and he took the race for the win. It's a good tune worth the money though. If you're wanting more power and you hated not getting the 335 or 435, then this tune will help offset your descion. At least it did for me, until my lease ends in 2018 and I can get a car with a more powerful engine.

Have you raced any 335's or 435's yet to compare the tune? If so, how did your car preform?

I have not. I just test drove it by its own and it felt heavy. So i guess it's just that then it feels heavy but eventually faster than 328 with the tune. Although I thought I saw a post that has the opposite result

Hmm well if you ever get to race a stock one, please share your experience.

I know you don't drive the car much, except on the weekends but how is the gas mileage? Do you think you would have to fill up every week, like myself? I talked to a couple 435i owners this weekend at the BMW meet ups. They all say it's normal.

Yep, I've been noticing that I consume more gas than before. Plus Because i have the tune I tend to push the car more because it feels great! i'm sure that contributes to me consuming more gas LOL.

Well I've been going pretty easy on the gas pedal all week... I'm a little over a half a tank ATM. I'm impressed to say the least.

Drive crazy= one week of gas tops.
Drive moderately with a little fun= maybe a week and a half?
Drive really conservative= 2 weeks??

Any tune whether Dinan, RaceChip, ECU Flash, Active8, BMS etc.. all improve the 0-60 day & night from stock!

It all comes down to their differences that the individual picks a certain one or 2.
