I just hope I can build this car for to my likings for under 52,500 (MSRP). Not factoring invoice pricing/ED and any incentives/loyalties.

I mainly want:
435i
+Technology Package
+Premium Package
+M Sport
+Manual
___
-Don't really want to pay for Driver Assistance Package, but it all depends on incentives.

Just found out DCT isn't offered on the F30 which worries me. No DCT= no launch control. I was really leaning towards getting the auto after driving the M135i with DCT. Still keeping my fingers crossed they will offer it but now the M235i is looking more attractive if it comes with HUD + DCT

Build a 335i and add $3500 and you should have a solid estimate I think that will put you around $52k

The M235i will offer DCT similar to M135i. I don't understand why they wouldn't offer DCT on an f30 M sport. After all it is a superior car.

M135i is 8 speed auto. No DCT.

Doesn't mean the M235i is guaranteed to get the same tranny though. Maybe different, although unlikely.

You can see 4 Series M Sport wheels on the blue F32 spotted at the airport, as well as the order guide - both posted above.
The rear wheels are clearly 442M, so it does have M Sport wheels.

My mistake. I thought the M135i was similar to the 135is coupe.

the 135i does come with 7-Speed DCT standard... In the US at least. Just checked the website

UPDATE:

There is actually a big chance the 4 series will offer DCT standard. If you look at the leaked order guide there is no option for a sports automatic with paddle shift, only manual. Same goes for the 135i, 135is and 335is which all come with DCT standard

He was talking about the F2x M135i.

Those are all legacy Exx products which will be gone by the end of this year or early next.

With the new M Performance vehicles it appears so far that the plan is to stick with the ZF8. This could change with the 2 or 4, but I would not necessarily count on it. And even if it does, again, this would be for M Performance models. In the case of the 4, we won't see anything like that released for at least another year and a half if not longer.

Look at the closeup of the optional LED headlights on the 4 series in the following gallery (the first pic also pictures both xenon headlights (car on left) and LED headlights (car on right):

Then compare it to xenon headlights (below), you'll see a big difference in the main light - xenon light is a round bulb while the LED is a bar.

LEDs are brigther, use less energy, and have much longer life.

Thanks Jason.

So people, what is the consensus on Xenon vs LED? Both look pretty good to me.

No rush btw. Doesn't look like I can order my 430d much before the autumn!

So going with the natural progression of things.

I assume the 435 will be as fast as the E92 M3 in a straight line and almost as fast around the corners?
