Enquired with bmw spare parts about cost of anthracite wood trim as I don't like the standard burled walnut. Just the side rear is $240 a piece and idrive section is $640. Didn't get quotes for the front facia nor front doors as no one has ordered that yet.

Looks like factory is way cheaper but not offered on no line. Paying for modern or luxury line might have been worth it in hindsight but it was outside my budget.

Doesn't your M sport body kit total $3,745?

Anyway I'll be able to provide the forum with a price on this soon - and it'll be much less than that

My bad, 3745 is right, typing error (didn't add tax I think)

I guess in the future, I'll check your price first.

Please let me know when your prices for the interior trims are avaliable

how are you getting the performance brakes for $2k?
I would have loved to have purchased mine at that price.

2k will probably just get you the front or the rear brakes. BMR lists it as $3,795.

its expensive, but i don't think its unreasonable

Sounds awfully cheap, especially given the cost price of the product. I'd be worried that I wasn't getting a full or proper treatment for that price, and if you did manage it for that I'd certainly want to register the warranty card that it comes with.

The $549 quoted above sounds right.

Absolutely no reason whatsoever for such a price on a new BMW. Besides, I understand Opti-Coat's guide pricing is $545.00.

http://www.optimumcarcare.com.au/con...d_pricing.html

3 coats on a new car? Seriously?

My car had 2 snow foam cleans, it's dealer glaze machined off, clayed, washed, dried and 2 coats of Hard body applied for $500.00.

Of course if your price is for a well driven car, then sure, it could easily cost $1400 or more, depending on how much detail & correction is required.

Maybe that's why 3 coats have been recommended. Not for a new car.

They are an authorised Opti-Coat dealer, so they can charge what they like. It may be a special price based on certain conditions, but yes, they will have to provide the full and proper Opti-Coat warranty, whatever price they choose to charge.

WOW - I might call them to confirm pricing but seems too good to be true.

the Virginia quote was pretty correct - $320 they quoted me.

Said they are newly authorised to apply Opticoat so are trying to drum up business....

make sure you prep the paint properly, get all the swirls and marks fixed up before going (from a proper detainer), as opticoat will seal over everything, and is very difficult to remove (machine polishing apparently the only way).

but good luck! that's a fantastic price

I agree, applying the coating is only part of the job, they need to do a full buff and remove any swirls and sometimes do some paint correction and that is more important than the coating itself.
