Why is there only one actual "vent" on the left side of the front lower bumper...?? Wow... BMW really wants to direct people to buy msport version..

The problem is the car pictured in these pics is not a base version.
It is a fully loaded versions of 435i. When you see a E46 330i vs E92 335i you can clearly see the revolutionary design and technology in terms of engine and overall performance as well as looks. This 435i vs 335is I would take the older 335is with its N54 engine. The crappy electric steering and numb feeling of the whole car that was designed to please old ladies selling real estate does not appeal to me one bit. I have driven the new F30 3 series dozens of time and the car is a lot more numb then E9x. Every time I can't wait to get back into my preLCI E92 335i.

U will also notice that only F30 sedan owners r happy with the 2 door version of their sedan that BMW created. All of a sudden it makes their purchase not look dated an less stylish
To give us a F30 with two missing doors should be shameful for BMW

They really have to stop with those fake air vents in the front bumper.
This really bugs me. If you make openings in the front bumper then make them open!!! I know it is better for air restistance, fuel consumption etc. but it just looks cheap. Have a look at the new X5 with M Sport - really big "intakes" filled out with plastic. Besides of that I really think it looks nice, love the sideline and the rear. The Sport Line 19" wheels look really great, much better than M Sport. Concerning the side vents - you guys might want to know that they are not just fake but usefull, they are open on the inside of the wheelarch. They are "connected" to the intakes on the front and take away air turbulences generated by the wheels and help cooling the brakes. |

looks like they took an Audi a5, made a few minor changes, then stuck a bmw emblem on it.

However, I say bring on the 2 series. Really hoping the M2 is more exciting.

The fxx looks like it hit a wall at 15mph and smashed in the front end compared to the eXX

Looks like they went to extremes with the interior comparison. I'm an e90 owner that doesn't like the wood trim look. Take the least appealing e92 interior and compare it to the most colorful f32 interior and voila: bias.
Notwithstanding the presentation, I don't care for the new console cup holders. Although the e92 cup holders are somewhat flimsy, they keep the interior both clean, and clean looking. Well-type cup holders accumulate crud. Moreover, I'm not jazzed by the new wall between driver and co-pilot. The flat screen TV leaning on the dash could have been an awesome feature if it lowered into the dash when not in use. The e92's integrated screen with dashboard shade built in is a much cleaner and more elegant design than the f32 screen. I have wood trim in my car and am looking into some new vinyl wrap for a fresh look! |

Seriously. And that black side gill thing doesn't help either. Breaks up the flow of the car. Plus that front grill where the fogs are don't seem to look right. Reminds me of the Mazda 'smiles'.
This is the first 3/4 series coupe in the last 3 generation that I am not in love with right away. Maybe it'll look better in person. At least the interior looks good. |

So to sum up this thread:
If you've been looking forward to buying a 4 series, it looks great. If you own a previous generation 3 series, and plan on keeping it for awhile yet, the 4 series is shit. If you're on the fence about stepping into a 4 series, your opinion is actually pretty insightful and valuable. Personally, I think it's an abomination and BMW should have just updated the e30, e46, or e92 and released that. |

Still love my E92.
This is not a reason to move to an F32 yet!

Maybe it is just me but you can't help but see the general outline of the 5 series GT and the 3 series Gt pics with the z4 stance. Just too low of a hoodline and than once it hits the winshield it bulges up over the roof. Can't explain it but the e92, especially the m3 absolutely looks 100 times better. Maybe the m4 will look better but to me a clearn e92 m3 is hard to contend with and as long as it has the updated LCI tailights, it looks brand new and as pretty as a ferrari in its own way

Completely agree. My other issue is the fog light plastic surround. What the heck is this styling from a Mazda 3

I am not a fan of the new design. The interior seems to be an improvement but the exterior just makes it look like a much softer car.The side profile ,with the curves and the hood bulge resembles the Infinti/audi.
