Would 2008 M3 Rims with Pirelli Sottozero winter tires fit on the f30 328i?
A friend of mine sold his 2008 M3 and has a set of oem m3 rims and near new Pirelli Sottozero winter tires for sale. Now i have called 4 different bmw and asked if these would fit on my 2012 328i. And 3 of them said no, and 1 said they "should" fit. Now, I found out that the first 3 said "no" because they wanted to cover their own arses in case of any mishaps.
So here I am, needing the expertise of people on this forum. Can someone tell me if these would fit? thank you here is a picture of the rims and tires if that would even help... |

Different offsets.
I'm going with no, unless you do some major suspension modification. The M3 uses a 22 front offset and a 20 rear. With the width of the rear wheel and that low an offset, you will have problems with the fitment. |

Thanks guys for the input. I have been getting yes and no's from everyone so I've arranged for a wheel and tire shop to install them tomorrow morning. So hopefully they'll fit...
thanks |

First off, those aren't 2008+ OEM M3 wheels. They look similar, but are not the same. The original 18" E9x M3 wheel is style 219. The real wheel looks like this:
What your friend sold you belong on a <2006 M3, E46 chassis. They appear to be style 135, that have offsets of ET47 and ET50. If that's the case, they probably won't fit. It actually looks like the wheels in your picture are fake/knock offs. Notice how they don't have the slot for the little ///M sticker near the lugs? And notice how the edges of the spokes meet the outer lip very smoothly in the OEM wheel below, but have a little lip/break on your wheels? Real version of 135-style wheel is attached. omg.. now I am so confused... he assured me that these were "real" oem factory wheels.
but what you are saying is true SamS. I do remember that M3 OEM factory rims do have the M sticker slot and this one totally doesn't.. can someone else please help verify this with me before i go and try to install these? |

Just take the wheels up to the shop tomorrow to see if they'll clear front/back. Personally, I wouldn't put replicas on my car. Nothing like a cracked wheel to ruin you day (and your car). And be sure to punch your friend in the stomach for selling you replicas |

Actually Sam...
After looking closely and zooming in on the image. There is a slot for the m sticker approx at the 4 o'clock direction... but there is no stickers on it. let me know if you can see it as well... but i still don't know if its a knockoff. |

Yeah, I see that. But look at how the sticker is positioned on the OEM wheels. It's the same spot, the but the spokes terminate differently next to the blank sticker area.. Those wheels from friend/friend have all the tell tale signs of a replica. Close in design, but not an exact match.

THose wheels look like replica ZHP wheels....M-sport performance package wheels for 04-06 E46's...they are def not M3 wheels, and they do not look authentic. Thats just my 2 cents.

The 330ci with ZHP package did come with these exact style wheels. Can't verify their authenticity though. Photo from the board : |
