DMS remap - 320d Msport
I popped down to DMS on 1 March for a remap on my wife’s 2014 F30 320D Msport touring.
Having only had the car a week it was completely standard bar a single tank of Shell v-power Diesel. On arrival Tony and Martin were typically welcoming, allowing me to ask questions at any point or simply snoop around the plethora of high performance machines in the workshop. It came as no surprise when the baseline dyno dynamics rollers confirmed a figure of 180.5bhp - bang on for a standard car. After installing the revised file the dyno figures jumped to 238.3 bhp / 345lbs torque. Great numbers by themselves but crucially it’s how the car drives that matters. Coupled with the 8 speed auto box, the car has replaced its linear acceleration with punch in every gear which makes for a much more rewarding drive and frankly is how it should have come as standard. Next job, ACS springs as the car is a little too vague in the steering department. |

Was speaking to Tony last week about possible remap options down the line on my car.
Really nice guy and happy to take the time out to chat to me. That's an impressive gain |

60bhp gain she-it!!!! Nice!
That's quite a lot to add to a standard engine with no other changes, early days I suppose as to longevity on these high power remaps (since only recently cracked), be nice to see no ill effects a bit further down the line. Look forward to people's updates |

It's amazing how things progress - that's more than my remapped E46 330d put out 8 years back!

Excellent results.
I have the Steinbauer unit on my F31 320D Xdrive in combination with AC Schnitzer springs. Lorcan from Rossiters supplied the extra's which had made a nice improvement in all areas. I took it off the car as I have it up for sale but with no taker's for the car we are having second thoughts selling our F31 as all we get is insults from traders. The Steinbauer unit is very similar to the ACS and not quite as powerful as the DMS map although torque figures are similar. I was thinking of buying a Golf R or S3 but I am also tempted to keep the F31 and perhaps add some nice AC Schnitzer alloys or a set of the 19 inch light weight BMW 403 alloys. As others on here I'm looking at a remap or tuning box but undecided which way is best. I'm even thinking of the BMW PPK at the current price ie £750 which isn't bad considering it includes an upgraded intercooler. And keeps the warranty, although the gains are pretty poor in comparison. |

Yes everyone says the gains on paper aren't good, but nearly everyone that has it rates it and the in-gear/driving experience.
We also know that a 330d with PPK dyno'd at over 300bhp....... Mine is fitted Monday, so will soon know first hand! |
