Coral red vs Everest grey
Having trouble deciding between these 2 interior colors. Exterior will be black sapphire metallic.
Any thoughts/comments?? |

Black and Red seems to be a nice combo...
although the Everest Gray interior is a very Cool color too... can't go wrong with either one. Red if you are a daring person Light Gray if you prefer the tamer look Red if you like vampires Light Gray if you are have a more reserved soul It's up to you man !

Picked up my black sapphire and coral red two days ago and love the combination. Grey is too bland for me.

Such a personal preference, as I can't do red leather I find to too garish.
Everest Grey looks best with the Melbourne Red cars IMO. It'd look good with BSM, however I favour Black leather with BSM for it's classic look. I wouldn't worry about a poll either, it's your car you choose what you want, don't leave it to a crowd of keyboard warriors like me decide for you |

I haven't taken delivery of my Alpine White and Coral Red but I fell in love with the red interior several years back and I knew that when I stepped up to buy a BMW that I really wanted to get the Coral Red. My co-worker has a 335i coupe; Space Metallic Grey and Coral Red. Every time we go out to lunch I make him take his car. It truly is stunning but like others have said, it is personal preference and it is a personality reflection. I also like the Everest but prefer the Coral. Good luck deciding.

I'm wondering about maintenance - how do these seats manage stains from jeans and other garments that transfer colours easily?

Grey may stay cooler in a black car. All while still providing a good contrast in color.

Just saw that exact combo on a 2012 328 sportline at dealership when I went in today for lease turn back pre-inspection. Looked great.
Not sure I could have a red interior over long term without tiring of it(buying, not leasing anymore) but the coral red is a soft red so its very nice. IMHO the black piping and contrast stiching "soften" the redness a bit . I liked the car I saw alot. This was the exact car your are asking about. Saph. black, coral, alum, black trimline. Additionally, for those questioning the durability of dakota leather. It may not be the most aesthetically appealing leather in BMWs arsenal but it wears very well. My 2009 135i is going back in the next couple of weeks and the leather is as new. Only maintainence was using leather conditioner 1-2 times per year. Can't say that has ever been the case w/ other BMWs or Minis I have owned. Last edited by emtrey; 07-20-2012 at 10:44 AM.. |

I agree with yeaf30. When I was shopping for my first BMW a few years back (2000 328Ci, titanium silver over gray, sport premium, factory aero body) it came down to two cars, a 328 with the aforementioned body kit or a 328 with the coral red interior. The body kit won me over, but I've loved the red ever since and also decided that my next BMW would have the red leather interior. It's different, it's exciting, and it's fairly rare, so it makes your car more desirable, both while you're enjoying it and when you resell it.

Everest is nice, but I LOVE Coral red...I'm biased. (see signature)
I saw a black F30 335 at the Team USA event in Cincinnati, it was decked out with M Performance parts (couldn't drive it, only for show) and it had Coral Red leather--it looked GREAT with the black exterior. The other thing to consider with Everest with the Sport Line: there will be red stitching on the steering wheel which, to me, looks out of place and doesn't coordinate with anything else. The red stitching looks nice with the Coral Red leather or the black with red stitching/piping...but seems strange with the Everest. (in photos, I haven't seen in person) |

My dove grey M3 seats looked fine at 80k miles when I sold the car. I tried to remember to clean and condition them once a year, but... that didn't always happen. |

I went with black sportline & black leather seats with not a second thought.
Car just got finished production and is waiting for a ship out of Germany! The sportline Blk on Blk looks fantastic in this car! Just my IMHO |

Debated this myself on an S5 I had. Ordered their light gray, then changed to red. After a year, the novelty of the red kind of wore off, and I wished I had kept the order with the gray.
That's not to say the opposite couldn't have happened had I kept the original order |

I guess I was put off by the light grey seats in a Mercedes C-Class... I went to this car show a couple of years ago and there was a W204 C-Class with very light grey seats and they were already stained by the people sitting in the car... I assumed blue jeans were the culprits though.
