Trusted audio installers in South Australia
Hi,
Looking to upgrade my base audio with something more substantial but would prefer it to be done professionally. I have a 2013 MY14 F30 320D Can anyone recommend an audio installer in South Australia who has experience with BMW audio installation. Thanks |

Are you looking to Upgrade to BAVsound ? , I would be interested too . I checked with guys at Tonkin's In-Car Solutions and they quoted 150/h to install whatever speakers i had . I would sound proof at the same time .
I have not upgraded yet but its on the list of things . |

That is the question ? - What to replace with, My opinion as below . not sure about alpine as if they make a direct replacement speakers .
have a look at this http://www.bavsound.com/ and browse the forum some have replaced stock stuff with these . Videos are on you tube but i would choose a professional and 100% do the sound deadening it make a big difference as you get better sound without the rattles outside and inside. as i mentioned earlier for my car i am expecting about $2000 total if i replace all speakers , sub-woofers and sound proof with Dynamat or similar . I am happy with existing sound so its low priority on my to-do list . If you do get something done , i would love to catch-up for a coffee to check out the difference . I am in Adelaide too . Cheers |

i replaced my amp with a JL audio. made a huge difference and running a 12inch JL boot sub.
Might have to ditch the sub with a new born on the way, way to bassy. i can turn it down but then whats the point lol. Thinking of going bavsound speakers running off the JL amp. |

I had a 10" sub in my last car so I' still getting my head around he efficacy of smaller subs under the seats.
How much of a difference is it? A 10-12" sub in the back vs floor subs? I really dunno which way to go on this. |

I guess it depends on what kind of sound you are after the stock underseat subs are designed to just fill in the gap where the door speakers lack. i wouldn't call the under seat subs bassy. together its a balanced system if you want that deep bass, the type that u feel through the back of your seat, the type you feel in your gut, then go for a trunk sub. to me the difference is night and day and also that type of bass is not for everyone if you want a balanced system but want a little more out of your floor subs there are direct swap options |

After a bit of research I think I might go with the BMW HiFi System ALPINE (Part number 65 41 2 413 270). I can get that posted from Europe for 579.30€ with the tweeter window frames and stickers.
I think i'll go with BAVsound ghost subs as well just waiting on an email back to confirm compatibility. |
