foot off gas when shifting?
hi guys, first time owner got a 335 xi on the way with the sport trans.
When shifting with the paddles, do you need to let of the gas? Does it have a clutch? |

Good answer.
No, you don't need to lift in the auto when shifting up the gears If you think about it, when you're in full auto mode, you don't get a warning then have to lift when it changes gear; it just does it. So when you're in manual mode, you're just triggering the changes rather than the software but it's otherwise an identical process

only in a manual transmission is it suggested, puts a lot of stress on the clutch if it is being shifted back into gear at full revs.

Plus the 8HP is not a DCT (although it shifts like one) so keep your foot planted!
