Well Thankyou thenewyorker. I come from a long line of performance cars thanks to the husband. Last one was 135i. You just have to be able to handle the color as well as the car!!

EB is only flashy because the rest of the cars are so freaking boring. During our ED factory tour, we were told that 86% of the cars produced are either white, black, silver or grey. They have two whites, two blacks, 2 silvers, and a grey. That means 14% to split between Melbourne Red, Imperial Blue, Estoril Blue, Liquid Blue, Sparkling Bronze, or Mojave. That is some scary stuff, but it's eyeball verified by driving around. Everyone's gone boring, so a unique color like EBII gets much more attention than the same old *$)!.

Ha! That's what I was thinking. Didn't realize people would be going fisticuffs over this.
Here's my take...Jamesons was nice enough to meet up with me so I could see EBII. It looks sick. Plain and simple. Not girly, not manly, just sick. On top of that you bring in the BMW history of EB and for any BMW fan it just makes it even better. AW ALSO looks amazing IMO. Also not girly or manly. Yes, some girls will be driving EBII's and obviously you will see more AW's simply because it's available in more models. Bottom line...they both look awesome. |

Get an EBII Msport if you like a fat smile on your face each morning when you open your garage door, and then again at the end of a hard work day. The first comment everyone has when they see my car for the first time is "beautiful colour", and once this came from a complete stranger.

I've had a number of complements on my EBII car already for how stunning it looks. I got more complements on this car in the first 2 weeks of ownership than I had in the 2 years I owned my 08 Space Grey M5.
First of all, get what color you like first and foremost. With respect to how others will view your car....if you want your car to fit in with everyone else and not have as many people notice your car, then white. If you want your car to stand out a bit and be a shade more different than others, blue. |

Alpine White
Estoril blue is a fantastic colour which looks better in the flesh, but is it going to be too popular ? probably. Alpine white will stand the test of time and in M Sport form looks just as good. Only my opinion because I have one on order in white coming very soon.

Ok, after long debate and finally seeing an AW with M-Sport I've decided...(drum roll)...
I ordered Alpine White. Love them both but just couldn't stop thinking about AW. This should settle the debate on white being a girly car... http://jalopnik.com/5494734/why-chuc...-a-nissan-gt+r |

Both are great, though I'm biased obviously.
EB2 is not girly. It's a rich, deep color. I saw a 335i with dark numbers on the back at my dealer and its bada**. I wouldn't go M Sport because Black and Tan interiors were unacceptable. But had I gone that route, it would have been EB2. But also, the sport line looks better than the M Sport in the F30 anyway IMHO.

Only 1% of all BMWs built are M-sports, and of those, let's say for fun half are EBII. Since M-sports are the only car that gets EBII, that means no more than half a percent of ALL 3 series cars will be EBII. How many percent of ALL 3 series are white? 30% ? |

Driving around I see about 100 white, black, or grey E90s for every one in Lemans. Come to think of it, I can only remember encountering about 4 in total not counting on the dealer lot. Even if every Msport was required to get EBII, it would still be a rare color due to the limited percentage of Msport sales vs total sales. EBII will still be very unique to see on the road.

well i went to test drive the m-sport yesterday.
i would guess estoril is not the most popular color as while i was there, there were 5 m-sport 328s. the one i drove was metallic black, there were a couple alpine whites, another plain black and one in some sort of metallic silver. i placed my order for a Estoril blue today with the sales guy, giving him deposit this week. |

AW is classic! Your CF mods shall look the best so do black stripe more so u shall save $500 ? Or more.
Blue is special and shall be eye catching. I have white m3, had a whitebX5. Now have deep sea blue x5. For f30?we chose EB over MR for M sports because of its uniqueness. Both AW and EB can carry red interior well I guess |
