Invoice price is $40,110 on the base 328i, with no options. The only options I wanted on my 328i was the Sportline package, which brought the total invoice pricing to $41,490. I also signed up with unhaggle to get the invoice numbers (they are also posted in various places on this forum, so it was quite helpful to do a search), which I then used as a basis for negotiations.

All said, the dealer quoted me $42,490 + taxes.

With the 328i spec'd the way I wanted, MSRP was $45,100. This represents a 6% savings from MSRP. Also, my dealer didn't have the car on the lot, so they would need to order it in.
What about freight and air condition tax. You didn't include those in your invoice price. Here's the invoice price I got from CarCostCanada:

Base price of 328i: $40,110.00
Freight: $1,995.00
FEDERAL AIR CONDITIONING EXCISE TAX (-EXTAX): $100.00
SPORT LINE: $1,365.00

So total invoice price should be $43,570.

If you paid $1000 above cost, that would make it $44,570+taxes.

How the heck did you get the dealer to quote you $42,490 + taxes??

They will all give u a great deal. I went to town and country and fully made up a fiction that parkview is offering me 6.5% off msrp (never even spoke to parkview bmw). The sales guy then replied cheerfully and said 7% plus a furthuer $5-$10 off the monthly pmnt.

If they dont give u a great deal then go somehwere else. The auto industry is extremely competitive. I dont think the dealerships make ANY money selling cars. Just garage, repairs, window tints etc

Yup!

Out of my research and trust me I've done research, BMW London, Parkview BMW and Budds are willing to negotiate.

Give me a few more days and I'll tell you the exact person to speak with!

I just wanna ask my fellow F30 owners in Canada the following question:

What are you going to do this winter? Someone asked me this question and I thought whether I should wait for the X Drive but I spent my last winters using winter tires, does it make a big difference if I go with the X Drive?

I personally prefer the handling of RWD, so winter tires are a must.

Never owned a RWD car until this one, plan on getting winters. Dealer told me they wouldn't have winter tire packages for the F30 until approx September.

The winter packages from the dealer will cost you a whole lot! Easily $2K to $3K a set! :

Yep... a much better route is get BMW replica rims from stores around town at around $200/rim and virtually any winter tire (size 225/45 if you have the 18" wheels).

Also, I don't think I will not be opting for run flat (RFT) winter tires... they are considerably more expensive and will narrow your winter tire choices by a lot. Instead I will take my chances. Never had a flat in my almost 25 years of driving so will keep my fingers crossed.

Yikes, well I'm sure there are alternatives. The big question is whether to go RFT.

Yeh currently I don't have run flat winter tires...I went with the Michelin x-ice and they were great.

I guess I'll have to get new ones to fit the 18'...will try and sell my current ones...

I picked it up yesterday! It's just a fantastic drive, very smooth. Love all the little amenities. Don't have a good set of pics to post yet, but I can answer any questions you guys might have about the 335i sport line.

Raspartan, not sure where you are in the city, but I deal with AIM (Automotive Import Market) on Denison just East of Woodbine. They've done right by me for years. Great selection of rims and tires, and great prices!. I'm in no way affiliated with them, just a happy customer..

Well that's certainly my end of town, so I'll be sure to look them up when the time comes. Thanks for the tip.

Just over 8 weeks. Two months to the day, but I'm beginning to think that's not typical.
