How come you had to swap these connections? I dont remember doing this but then again I did the swap and have been having intermittent issues with pic sensors not being able to be found.

I have the Pdzdata Full. The camera cable has been checked at both ends twice. I am getting the Rheingold and see if I can clear up this error message.

Hi Sii770i7,
One more question for you. Did you code other ECUs after installing the PDZdata full version? Or the TRSVC is the only one that you coded? Please let me know! Thanks |

CAN cables

I need you help, perhaps somebody have experience for my question. I retrofitted on a 2014 F31 rear view camera, using all parts from a wrecked car. Everything was fine till to connect those Green and Orange/Green to CAN wires. I removed the trim of iDrive but the colour are different (see below picture). What would be the correct wires/colour to connect in order to make the link with CAN bus? Thanks in advance |

Hi Roxxor,
I identified the FEM wire box, unplugged A173 8B connector and surprise ... there is nothing where it supposed to be PIN51 respectively PIN52, empty tiny holes Looking around to all connectors I found a small (about 10 pins) just one below the 8B, which has the coloured wires as the wires coming from the camera module - green & orange/green. Perhaps this is a coincidence but not knowing what is about I would not mess it up connecting randomly. So still looking for the wires |

Those may be the ones. Per Rheingold, the Wires from the TRSVC to the FEM are K-Can, not K-Can2. The only listings in the FEM for K-Can wires are A173*8B Pin 51 and 52, as well as A173*3B(54-Pin), Pins 33 and 34. If those #'s match, then I would give it a shot.
Alternatively, these connections are supposedly available at the seat module under the driver's seat. Rheingold shows these color wires on the wiring diagram for the seat module, and connector A245*3B(8-pin) pins 5 and 6 are shown as K-Can wires. |

Hi guys,
I took couple of pictures to better explain my situation 1. This is the FEM A173*8B connector 2. After I removed out 8B case this is how it looks As you can see, on my F31 (production date August 2014), what you describe in terms of PINs of A173*8B is slightly different. In the last days I researched on the Internet and found out that CAN-H and CAN-L cables have different colors (yellow/red, yellow/brown), respectively different PINs position (50 & 49). This information could be true considering the pictures from my car (check above picture and text). More, it seems, as can be seen in below pictures, there is as well another connector into A173 with wires yellow/red & yellow/brown. 3. 4. These are the links with info regarding new correspondence of CAN bus wires: http://synergytradeshop.com/content/...20EN%20001.pdf http://www.mseurope.be/index.php?opt...df&Itemid=1021 Before getting any action, could any of you double check/confirm what I shared with you? Thanks & enjoy the weekend |

The donor car had CAN connections below driver's seat, I checked as well on my car on that particular connector and unfortunately there is no correspondence with those wires (did not take picture by that time to share with you). I'm totally confused and don't know where to look for those wires Last edited by Cornel_t; 12-12-2015 at 04:01 AM.. |

Are you sure @roxxor ?
I mean the connector you are talking from my picture, I believe is not A173*3B because it is having only 12 PINs !!! (orange/green & green at 6&7 PINs) and from what you are saying it suppose to have 54 pins with CAN orange/green & green wires at PINs 33/34. Btw how get I get a the Rheingold app? |

You are correct, that is actually A173*10B. I did not realize you had an F31 until I re-read above.
So in the FEM pin list for a 2014 F31, the connectors for pins 33/34 at connector A173*7B are the K-Can wires. This is the connector directly to the right of A173*8B. Can you look at those and see what color they aren't? As for Rheingold, it can be found online. Takes a bit of searching, but it's out there. |

This is A173*7B connector:
- PIN 33 wire colors black/light green stripe - PIN 34 wire colors yellow/red stripe So, at least there are some wires but with different colors, could it be to match what am I looking for? |
